BATTERY FOR SONY FV70 2300 mAh

We are well pleased with our Np-FV70 batteries. Our camera actually says that we have 41/2 hrs on a full charge. There was one little discrepentcy when I first bought the batteries. The ad said that they were compatible for use in a Sony CX550V video camera. The key word here is "compatible" The Sony CX550V video camero actaully calls for a V series battery, which is a smart battery. This battery is not a V series battery, it is a standard lithioum battery, although it does seem to work fine in the camera and seems to last 4 hrs. We have never really timed it. The V series battery is supposed to be smart in the sense that it senses when more power is needed. When the camera does not need much power then the V series batery will conserve energy. This lithioum battery seems to work fine so there is no harm done. The 2 batteries for one price was a super deal with a wall charger. I would buy it again if I was looking for a battery.

I purchased the two batteries and the charger because it said it was for the DCR-SX63 camcorder. I use my camera for business and it is very important to always have a battery that is fully charged and working. I was able to hold the battery in place, but it was a an uncomfortable position. That is not acceptable for everyday use. When I contacted the seller to inquire about a refund, they said I would only be able to get a refund on the unopened packages less a 15% restocking fee. Well, I only had one battery that was unopened, so it really wasn't worth the shipping fees to return. Good news is the charger works with the NP-FV30 battery! I hear the NP-FV50 battery works with this model camera, not sure. I think I will buy retail the next time. I can't take this chance again and compromise a job.

Received promptly. I put them on camcorder, showed around 300 minutes on both batteries. Then I charged both of them full for a total of 4 hrs with the included charger. I used the camcorder several times and the batteries seemed to hold the charge very well. I haven't used the inclued car adapter yet. The original Sony battery fits my CX150 really tight as it is part of the camcorder, I can move these batteries a tiny bit when attached on my camcorder, but it is secure enough. Very impressed with the batteries and charger. Good quality. Super low price compared to Sony original battery and charger.

I bought this battery for the cx-110 and works well, about the battery charge it depend of the settings, lower settings more record time and of course, high settings less record time. I agree with other review about the charge don't fit well, if you don't be careful, you can break the tiny guides. In overall the battery have a 5 stars and the charge 3 stars. But i still would buy again if need more spare batteries.

I thought I was making a huge gamble by purchasing this battery. I thought, how could a battery that costs over 100 bucks from sony only cost less than 20 dollars for an off-brand? Well I read good reviews and I decided to buy it. my camera showed me the first time I charged it that I had just over 4 hours of battery life. The second time I charged it the camera screen read 6 HOURS!!! I didn't have to charge my camera more than once while I was in Paris for 9 days, and I was using my video camera A LOT. This battery saved my bank account!

These batteries are not compatible with my Sony HandyCam, they shut down after about 4 minutes of recording; additionally, on my particular camera, what ever you are recording isn't written to memory either. The seller communicated promptly and offered a refund which is a plus, the charger seems to work ok so i probably will not return the items. Beware of these batteries if you plan to record a video longer than 4 minutesAdditionally, one of the things i also noticed, the add from the seller lists this item by 'Opteka', my items say BOWER, I was able to find bowerusa.com on the web and the font used on the webpage is the same as the font on my batteries and charger, Opteka doesnt appear anyware on the items i received, but i was able to find Opteka products on the web also. I dont think i received what is advertised.

Poor product. I intended to use this product as a backup for the one that came with my Sony Video camera, unfortunately the battery does not hold a full charge. Day one I plugged it in overnight. The built in Sony camera battery meter never exceeded 95%. It took longer to charge than the Sony infolithium battery. Moreover, it drains quickly. It did not last as long as the Sony. I got about 140 mins of recording use on the Sony and 80 mins on the Vivitar. Poor product. I guess you get what you pay for.

I purchased this for use with my Sony DCR-SX45 camcorder. For some reason, neither battery works with this camera. After about 4 minutes of use, I receive an error message on the screen and the camera shuts down. I have purchased an actual Sony NP-FV70 battery and have had no problems.Even though the batteries didn't work for me, it was worth the purchase to get the charger. The actual Sony charger is much more money.
