What is the max weight limit for this device?

Bought for a family member (wt approx. 120) who reported excellent results. No idea what the max wt would be. Plastic construction looks sturdy. It's intended for back use, not full body weight.

Picture says 22 inches length.. description says 12 inch length?

This is a typo error. It is 22 inches long and works very well. It can be used either direction depending upon if your pain is in upper back or lower back. It is very hard when lying on it at first but as you relax, your vertebrae seem to sink into the right spaces and realigns the back. I put a small pillow under my head and lie on the floor while watching tv for 15-30 minutes. After using it a couple of times, my pain is usually gone. Great invention.

Can you buy a cover to go over it?

I haven't seen a cover advertised. Perhaps a blanket or pillow would help.
