I was very worried about purchasing this because it was online, and I am the type of person that wants to touch something and see it in person before buying. However, my quickly growing Goldendoodle was really reaching for his puppy bowls, and he need something taller. When I first opened the box, I thought, Oh My Gosh these bowls are huge!!! I actually thought they were too big when compared to the little teeny ones in his old wrought iron holder. But now that we have used them, I love them. They are perfect because I can have water for him all day while at work. The best part about these bowls is the rubber coating on the underside of the rim. The bowl makes no sound at all against the metal of the holder, which was bothersomew to Murphy with his last metal holder and no rubber trim. Excellent product and will recommend it.Update, almost 5 years later and this product is like new. Just slinging it off today Snd felt I needed to update my much earlier review. If you are looking for a feeder for medium to large dog, stop looking Snd but this. Note: I have never put bowls in dishwasher. Have always hand washed. But this thing will last longer than the dog will I’m certain. Fantastic product!!

I bought this in April 2016 and it's still going strong in March 2022. I wash the bowls in the dishwasher weekly and they still look like new. I always remove the rubber rings from the bowls before washing so they still fit the bowls tightly and haven't deteriorated at all. The stand gets a thorough cleaning with Clorox wipes every few months and it looks as good now as the day I got it.I recently purchased an additional set of bowls from the nmndesigns website so I could get their higher-quality 304 stainless ("food grade") bowls instead of the 201 stainless ("food safe") that's available on Amazon. Thankfully, the replacement bowls come with those fantastic rubber rings, too. They are an important part of what makes this setup so great, since the bowls don't rattle or shake in the stand.

My poor GS is so big that he had to lie on the floor to eat his food. I searched for a sturdy yet attractive standing food set. This was perfect! It may cost a little more, but it would serve the dogs needs the best. It also fits in with home decor. It is made of wrought iron, but not too heavy.

I've tried a bunch of different types of feeders and this is the best. Simple, sturdy construction. Large stainless steel bowls with outer rubber lining. Rubber feet. Other feeders with flat surfaces around the bowls accrue gunk over time. Not this one. The round bowls sitting in a square frame works well for inserting/removing bowls because your hand has a place to go.My only suggestion would be to incorporate some kind of ant protection on the legs. Where I live we have mad ants that like to get into food if left out.EDIT: I added my own ant/bug protection. Cut a ping pong ball in half, spray painted black, drilled a hole and slipped it up over each leg secured with hot glue. No more bugs in the food! See pics

We have two mastiffs and needed more than the plastic elevated eating diners that reside at your garden variety super pet store. What we got (and much to our delight) was exactly what we needed. 1/4" roundstock construction. Bowls are larger than normal and the are silenced by the rubber material affixed on the bottom of the bowl that contacts the frame. Each leg has a plastisol cap on the end of it so as not to slide and they were cut level to the floor.... Excellent construction. It seemed expensive when we ordered but when we saw the product, we were elated. We recommend this product above all other feeding diners.

We needed to add additional feeders as we are temporarily splitting time between two locations and carting two sets back and forth was a pain. Currently, we have two large, young German shepherds and but have had many over the years and always fed in elevated feeders. These are the best we have encountered. The bases are study and well made. The bowls are heavier and the rubber ring underneath keeps them in place for our enthusiastic eaters. There are also no gaps for them to catch their tags and create havoc. Great product.

I'm very pleased with the quality of this product. The stand is heavy, the dishes fit in it snugly and overall it seems quite stable and well made. My aging GSP has a much easier time eating and drinking from this than she did from her old dishes that were just placed loose on the floor. (I feed her canned food because of a digestive issue that she has, and such food prompts a lot of aggressive licking from her to make sure she's left her dish clean.) In stark contrast to before, too, she now leaves virtually no mess around her feeding station for me to clean up after every meal. Finally, I was very pleased with the company's communication and fast shipping - I do believe they're the best vendor I've yet encountered through Amazon's Marketplace.

I'm not sure why my dogs won't eat out of these dishes. I got them for my 13 year old Golden but the 7 year old used them more than my older one! I just use them for water but it's very solid and heavy enough (just as the base) that the two of them playing won't knock it over.
