Animal Crossing: New Horizons Official Companion Guide Paperback – April 9, 2020

Ordered April 21, 2020, finally received June 17, 2020 (almost 2 months after purchase), though I believe this is NOT the fault of Amazon, as the hardcover copy I pre-ordered in March 2020 through my local Gamestop still has not arrived to the store for pickup. Once the guide was finally shipped, it arrived VERY quickly, literally next day. It was delivered through UPS & after 7pm I started to worry that it would go back to UPS & delivery delayed until the next day, as I've experienced numerous times with UPS, but they actually delivered it around 9pm, which I was very pleasantly surprised by! Though I've had previous negative experiences with UPS as a delivering service, I can say this experience was 100% positive, thanks to the amazing driver delivering packages in this area. Back to the book; It arrived sealed in plastic(can be seen in image I uploaded with my review), even though it is a paperback copy, it still has a beautiful book sleeve with a bright image/artwork from the game, that continues onto the back cover of the book sleeve. It's VERY heavy, 4lbs of AC goodness! (it makes me wonder how much the hardcover book weighs, lol) The actual cover has a different image/artwork, it is a 2 toned blue background with pale blue/white wave design, made to look like water, with what *looks* like a polaroid picture, one on the front cover, a different one on the back cover, under the sleeve. The artwork & images inside are just as vibrant & beautiful, & the quality of this guide is amazing! I haven't gotten to read it cover to cover, yet, since it only just arrived, but flipping through I saw sections of the villagers with their pictures & all information about them. It shows all items/clothing obtainable, including color variants. & so far it appears to have literally everything you'd want & expect from an official companion guide, though I will update this review if any of my review changes after reading the guide in its entirety, but at first glance it appears to be just as useful as any other, as well as previous AC, companion guides. The overall quality of the book is great in my opinion, it's a HUGE guide, with tons if information, beautiful images/artwork, & a great companion to have as you play, as well as a beautiful collection item to add to my AC collection. I hope this information can be of use to someone looking to purchase this guide- but seriously, if you want it, I'd DEFINITELY recommend purchasing it sooner rather than later, since all AC merchandise becomes 'rare' pretty quickly & prices increase at an astounding rate (*I purchased the guide almost 2 months ago exactly for a few dollars less than what the SAME listing has it listed as now.*) All in all I'm very happy with the guides quality, & hoping the information inside will be of the same quality.Also, just for the record, I purchased this guide with my own personal money, & the reviews/opinions I post are 100% my own. I have not be compensated or asked to write this review & chose to do so on my own accord after receiving the item I purchased to help other Crossers who may be on the fence about purchasing this guide.

If you love Animal Crossing this guide is worth buying. It is updated and very informative. It is not helpful to ask my ACNH group a question and receive many different answers. This guide is spot on, no more guesswork. I bought my guide new and there are bookmarks and a poster inside.

I've had this book preordered since I was able to and it exceeds my expectations. I've spent the last hour looking through it and have already learned quite a lot. I appreciate the detailed flower breeding guides, along with the fishing/bugging guides. I didn't know that some bugs and fish don't "unlock" until I've already caught a set number of bugs/fish.I bought this book mainly so I can keep track of what I've bought at Nook's and Able Sisters. I am floored by how many clothing items there are! I'll have to stop buying items in every color option, because I'm going to run out of storage space very quickly. This guide also shows which clothes only appear in certain seasons.I love that the guide shows what each villager's house looks like inside, including their original catchphrases. There's also very helpful information about Happy Home Academy rankings, score bonuses, lucky furniture, and Feng-shui (20 pages worth of info!). And I can't wait to read the pages about reaching a 5-star island.This is a terrific companion guide and I highly recommend it. It's a shame there are so many impatient people that have given the book a negative review because the shipping was delayed. Have they forgotten we're in the middle of a pandemic?
