Don't wait buy now they work!
These bridge pins are legit. They are worth 100 dollars all day.that seems about the right price for them.I struggled with buying these for the last two years, because I thought 100 dollars is alot to lose on a false promise. But as usual, martin comes through(they have never let me down) and there is a very noticeable improvement. My wife and I noticed as soon i finished putting the pins in and tuning my guitar.I have a martin x series special concert style. And I loved the guitar before i got these(it's my frist and only martin for now), but damn these bridge pins make a huge noticeable difference. Now I know there are way better solid wood Martin guitars(mine is some kind of pressed or human made wood)but it's still to me,excellent and I know my guitar is not on a solid wood level. But if you want really great sound in a decent price range, the x series special with these bridge pins or I imagine the more expensive ones will make your guitar sound better.and the x series special is still a martin guitar and it great.I wish I had known 2 years ago I wouldn't of wanted. I also plan on getting the same ones for my Yamaha acoustic.

Liquid Metal
I purchased 2 sets of metal pins. I put the first set on a Martin HD35 and second set on a Taylor GS Mini Koa+.First on the Martin, IMO these pins added some focus to the sounds (brightness), which takes away from the sound I personally prefer of Martins. As far as volume and sustain IMO Liquid Metal had slightly longer sustain with metal (subtle). VERDICT--If you are playing a song and want a bit more focus and brightness then you would switch out plastic for metal...On the Taylor the Pins produces a MUCH notable difference. Much louder and amazing. More sustain, More Volume. The GSMINI KOA+ sounds amazing with plastics.. Put liquid metal on it and the only analogy is like turbo charging..Hope this helps

Great Bridge Pins
I put these pins on my Taylor K24CE Custom 1 of 35. High E and B ring out nicely like a bell, low E warm and projected. Mid also projected very well. The Koa tone is already very balance and projected, the ring out and slightly more sustain just make the melody more perfect. The tone doesn't change but the sustain and ring out make it feel like the sound is brighter but actually not to my ears. These pins fit right into the bridge perfectly. I will do some Abalone inlays to cover the red dots.Update 11/28/2022: I recently restring my guitar with lighter gauge and the tone became too bright with the new strings. I had to change to pins back to ebony. So the result is mixed. These pins definitely improve sustain but the change to the tone might be a plus or minus to the character of the guitar.

New dimension of colors
These bridge pins are the real deal... improved my 10 year old Martin OM28e Retro that I had to experience to BELIEVE! The greater sustain increase brought many new tonal pallets of colors to overlay upon each other for fuller deeper chords & arpeggios for both fingerstyle and strumming!!! Volume alone increased by 1.8 db, folks that's close to 2x the highest volume with colors upon tonal colors, before I replaced the original bridge pins with these Martin liquid metal Luxe (bone colored) pins...WOW! Indeed, hearing is believing of how they transfer the string energy to the top instead of absorbing that precious string energy. Transformed my $6,000 guitar...what a value for these new Martin Luxe liquid metal bridge pins! Buying two more pairs (black Luxe bridge pins) for my two other Martin guitars!

Cool, but needs help
They don’t fit particularly well in the guitar. I’ll probably try re-ordering them on the next re-string. There is also a little chip of paint missing. I think I could live with it, but for the huge premium price I just expected better. If they make a difference in sound I think it’s maybe a 2% change. Strings are cheaper to experiment with and make a much bigger difference.

A Great Value
I installed these pins in my Martin Custom Shop 00-28. The guitar is the finest guitar I've ever owned. It is truly a masterpiece as guitars go. I really didn't think I would hear any difference, but once the Liquid Metal pins were in there was an immediately noticeable improvement in both volume and sustain. I have to say that I was quite pleasantly surprised. I have three other Martins, and I will be installing these pins in them as well. This is a great product.
