In 2005 the U.S. Army standardized the Improved First Aid Kit (IFAK), which, in conjunction with proper training, will greatly increase force effectiveness by increasing the potential of survival for combat casualties. Specifically, the kit provides enhanced capabilities for Self-Aid/Buddy-Aid to immediately treat the two most urgent medical crises faced by battlefield casualties. The IFAK is a self-contained assembly in a Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) utility pouch. The full kit is NSN 6545-01-530-0929.

The item was not a complete kit as stated in the ad. This was only the pouch, not a kit.

Perfect as advertised!
Wow! I had read some of the reviews and was a bit concerned about ordering this items but decided to take a shot anyway. I am so glad I did. The item was complete as shown in the pictures and in factory new condition. All the expiration dates were 12 to 18 months in the future. A quality product from a quality vendor. I am very pleased.

Not what is pictured or described
The description and picture clearly indicate this is a first aid "kit". Due to the price I was suspicious and posted the question if it contained the contents pictured. Four people responded with different results for each. Two received a complete kit, although the expendable items in one were expired. This was was the first two responses so I placed my order for two kits. The pouch, insert and CAT would be worth the price and the other items are easily replaced. Later came the other two responses. One received a kit minus the tourniquate, one recieved two "kits" with no contents at all. Just the outer pouch and did not even include the insert. The only saving grace was that the seller contacted me via e-mail to inform me that it was not a kit and consisted of only the outer pouch, as well as providing a link to cancel the order if this was not what I wanted.

I hope I never need to use it
this is great to have in the event you come across an emergency that requires you to save a life. I've added other stuff but as it stands, it is perfect.

Misleading picture
Not what was pictured , misleading information only recieved the pouch , seller could have at least included the pull out insert to allow packing with items obtained else where .Totally worthless , I guess I can use it as a range bag mag drop pouch.Not happy

Not an IFAK, Pouch Only
The picture, title and product description are not correct. This is not an IFAK. Only the pouch is included, not even the insert.

Picture and description both include the insert and kit. All I received was the pouch. Was going to use this for work. Guess not...
