Having now tested the Repour on a dozen bottles over a few months, I can say that it has enabled me to finally start enjoying my cellar. Previously I was unwilling to open a bottle by myself but with Repour I started to explore and taste my wines again. I even started to write about them online. Repour works very well up to two weeks in the fridge (37’F) with half a standard bottle remaining. Over a few nights, I did not detect any change in the character of the wine. Over two weeks, the wine loses a little complexity. Repour won’t work for a month because of oxygen that gets inside the wine liquid when it is initially poured. I love the simplicity of use. With Coravin, you need to plan ahead and the application is always a hassle. With Repour, you just put the cork on whenever you’re done tasting for the day. My fridge just about fits a tall Riesling bottle with the Repour on. One way I can tell it works is the vacuum (pressure reduction) it creates inside the bottle when left on. The seals works very well for all sorts of bottles. Conversely, it won’t stay on a bottle of sparkling. At $1.5 per bottle, this is a no-brainer. The Repour marks the end of the Coravin monopoly.

My primary use for these is to recork younger wines immediately after pouring out a glass or two. I will generally "return" to the bottle within a week, and for me this has worked well. I have found a second "recork" with these doesn't work as well as the initial use, even if the second recork is two days later. If a bottle has a little age on it (maybe >4 years), I prefer to use my ZOS Halo. For wines that have been in the cellar for a while, I use my Coravin to avoid any oxygen exposure. After a couple years of buying the smaller quantities, I decided to buy the 72 pack to lower my unit cost. My original order only included 71 stoppers, but the vendor contacted me and made thing right.

I’m no wine snob, I just run a small bar that sells fairly inexpensive wine and wanted something to keep the wine fresh longer than a few days. Seems to work really well and keep it fresh for a couple weeks. With each pour and/or more room in the bottle it’s less effective but still helps. A opened bottle with a single pour is still drinkable several weeks out if it’s left capped with one of these.

This is a miracle product. Imagine having a glass of your $400 burgundy today; then using Repour; then having another glass 14 days later. And this glass may be even more flavorful than the original glass. ir's worth the 3 bucks.

Excellent product to limit wine oxidation. Each stopper is good for a bottle so you can open different bottles and each stopper will handle a full bottle until it’s done. Great product.
