Why would you get the Zagg Invisible shield?
I gave 4 stars rating because...Pros- Price. This is so much cheaper compared to Zagg's Invisibie shield. And it is essentially the same thing.- Enhanced grips are also plus.- Offers good protection against scratches and dings on the corners.- Lifetime Warranty. I haven't had a situation where I had to get their replacement so I don't know if the customer services are great or not, but hey it's better than nothing right?Cons- To some people, installation of this could get very difficult. I ordered two of these, one for me and other for friend of mine. Because I had an experience in the past where I installed all my friend's invisible shield on the phones and tablets, I had a good idea how this should've been done. Mine came out really good but my friend even after reading the instruction manual he was having some hard time and ended up just screwing up a set of it. Back part, especially the corners are probably the hardest part for most people. One tip is that squeeze out all the liquid stuff using squeege and wait until the liquid start to evaporate on the edges. There's that timing when the shield start to get sticky again and that's when you apply it on the corner. Wrap the corner around with your palm and hold it for about 30-40 seconds maybe longer if necessary. Yeah, this is a difficult procedure so if you are not good at putting these kind of stuff on, I would ask someone around you who can.- Front side fitment isn't perfect. I align it to the camera hole, then the home button is off. I align it to home button, then the camera hole is off. Since I knew the workaround for this problem.. this is how you do it.First, try to align both hole as perfectly and close as possible. You will notice that one end will be just off.Second, squeeze out most of that liquid using squeege. I didn't squeeze out all the liquids because I didn't want them to dry out too quickly.Third, try to stretch the both end before the shield sticks on the screen. It's kind of difficult to explain this over the text rather than a video tutorial or something... but, do a peace sign(V) with both of your hands, and place your iPad to horizontal orientation, then just stretch the shield using two fingers on each side. Be sure and careful so that the shield is not off aligned from the entire screen. Give just enough force to stretch the both ends. Hold it for about 1 minute(just to be safe). After all this, it's still a great shield. I was thinking of giving it 3 stars because of the front fitment is off, but my goodness this is cheap compared to Zagg's alternative. I think it deserves more than 3 stars JUST because of the price.Bottom line, if you think you can't install this, find someone who can. That's the best.

Excellent quality and near perfect fit.
This is a review for the Skinomi TechSkin, but also a comparison with another budget skin, the IQ Shield LIQuidSkin.I had excellent results w/ the Skinomi skin for the iPad mini so I wanted to get the same skin for my Air. Unfortunately, it wasn't available so I first bought the IQ Shield LIQuidSkin thinking it would be the same thing. They are not. While both can be found for very cheap (about $4-$5 shipped), the Skinomi is a better product in several different ways:1. Fit - Skinomi has a near perfect fit front and rear - 9/10. IQ Shield fit is 6/10. On the front, the IQ Shield home button and Facetime camera cutouts are too close to each other such that you have to position it so it is not centered over either areas. On the rear cover, the Skinomi fits better as well. Cutouts for volume button, sim slot, speakers, power button, headphone jack are spot on. The IQ Shield seems slightly off. I had to play with it shifting the rear cover around a lot to get it to line up properly with the various areas. Even then, it wasn't perfect as the rear skin is virtually the exact size so if you are off just a bit on one edge, it sticks out past the other edge. I have no problem with this but for the fact that getting it lined up perfectly edge to edge seemed to cause it to line up with the cut outs for things like the SIM slot being slightly covered. The Skinomi was super easy to line up all the holes with no fuss. When it is not cut exactly edge to edge, it leaves a very small portion uncovered. More importantly, once you line up all the cut outs on the Skinomi, the rear skin automatically fits perfectly edge to edge.2. Quality and durability of film. While I have only had the Skinomi on my iPad Air for a few days, I have had the Skinomi skin on my iPad mini for over a year and it has held up extremely well. I have 2 kids who are constantly using my iPads and I constantly travel w/ my mini jamming it in and out of my laptop bag and luggage and the skin still looks great. None of the edges are peeling. I can't comment about the durability of the IQ Shield as I only had it on for a few days before I replaced it with the Skinomi. I believe the Skinomi feels very slightly thicker than the IQ Shield, but it's a nearly negligible difference.3. Clarity - Both the Skinomi and IQ shield skins are equally clear and have zero silk screen effect once the water dries up. The water dried much quicker on the IQ shield - it looked perfect after several hours. On both my mini and Air, the Skinomi skins took about 2-3 days before becoming totally optically clear w/ all bubbles cleared out, etc. (another reason I think the Skinomi may be thicker).4. Feel of film - The IQ Shield has a smoother feel than the Skinomi. Whereas the Skinomi is slightly grippier. In fact, the Skinomi skin feels virtually identical to the iPad Air's glass screen. When you play games like Fruit Ninja or Infinity Blade with lots of swiping, it feels smoother on the IQ Shield - a soft, luxurious smooth feel. On the other hand, the slightly grippier feel of the Skinomi is better on the back cover because it helps you hold the iPad with ease by putting the back of the iPad on the tips of your 5 fingers. There's enough tension where the iPad will stay in place even if tilted at say a 30 degree angle. The IQ Shield is too smooth and the iPad just slips off your fingers if you try this.BUT, a big downside to the IQ Shield is it has ZERO resistance to fingerprints and oils from your skin (perhaps this is why it feels so smooth to the touch?). My iPad constantly looked hazy w/ tons of fingerprints with the IQ Shield whereas with the Skinomi, it almost seems to have an anti-finger print coating on it. It is also MUCH easier to clean the finger prints off the Skinomi. A simple swipe with a microfiber cloth and all finger prints are gone. On the IQ Shield, I have to almost scrub it and use water or other light cleaner to get finger prints off.Installation - Skinomi wins hands down because it fits better and you don't have to fiddle with it to line up all the cut outs for holes, buttons, etc. Additionally, for some reason, it took a LONG time for me to get the IQ Shield to adhere to the curved edges. I squeegeed out the water the same way on both and used a blow dryer for the edges. I could not get the IQ Shield to adhere for almost 30 minutes whereas the Skinomi curved edges adhered in literally 5-10 minutes using the exact same technique, same amount of solution, blow dryer use, etc.Packaging - Both are decent, but Skinomi came packaged in a hard cardboard tube wheres the IQ Shield came in an octagon shaped, very thin cardboard box that was somewhat crushed. I have to say both products arrived undamaged, but the Skinomi packaging is definitely better and I can't imagine the product ever being damaged b/c the Skinomi cardboard tube is quite heavy and thick.Shipping - Both vendors shipped immediately and I received both products in 2 days.In summary, I highly recommend the Skinomi TechSkin.

Great Product and Service
I am quite picky about the cases, covers, and protection I use on my Apple devices. I don't really like anything that adds bulk or detracts from the design of the devices. I've had many different cases over the years, and I gave up on screen protecters years ago since they always looked so horrible on the devices.I was very pleasantly surprised by the Skinomi Techskin. It didn't take long to apply the screen protector, but the full body skin did take some time (you need to spend some time holding down the edges to get them to stick and fix properly), although I am very pleased at the results, especially with the full body protector since it does really use the iPad Air without adding any bulk or compromising the design of the device while still providing great protection (it's think enough to protect but not enough to be visible). There was a slight problem with the alignment of the front camera cutout, but it wasn't a huge issue. However a quick email to Skinomi and they admitted there was a slight issue and send me a new version straight away.

Disappointing product and disappointing service
2 problems with the device:1. The screen protector causes a shimmering effect on the screen which is distracting and ruins the point of a retina display.2. Back protector - it's a pain to fit, doesn't protect the corners/edges very well (which would seem to be the bit I want to protect most) and is now starting to peel off where the headphone jack is. I was expecting it to be curved like the Skinomi for my Nokia phone screen, but it's flat (and cut to shape to fold around the corners); you have to fold and stretch it fit as best you can.I contacted Skinomi and received a very helpful reply offering me a free replacement and asking for my shipping address. As soon as I gave the address my problems started - because I'm in the UK/not in the US I have to pay shipping and handling to get a replacement. But there seems to be no mechanism to pay this; several emails later I'm being told "The S&H form is going to be on our direct website" - so it's not there yet? I've asked for a link to the S&H form (why couldn't they just send me that in the first place?) but I'm still waiting for a response.Very disappointing service - I think I'd rather get my money back and pay somebody to fit a protector in my local shopping centre (only a little more expensive and also covered by a lifetime warranty).EDIT: I have finally received a link to the page to pay S&H - a replacement screen will cost me $14 for shipping & handling, about half the price of the original screen protector. This seems odd as it only cost £1.99 postage in the first place! So the lifetime warranty is really an offer of a half price protector, not what I was expecting at all.

Not worth the hassle and the extra money from cheaper options
I was looking for a product that could help me protect my gadget investment and I was willing to pay an extra to get a decent one, so I went for the Skinomi. It's expensive, compared to other options in the market, and the final result is not much better than this standard options, not to mention that the process to put the cover is quite complex and time consuming, specially considering the not so brilliant results. Also worth to mention that the back cover does not have a hole for the camera, which is obviously a design flaw.In short, go for the cheaper options in the market, there is plenty, an you will get pretty similar results.

At last - a fully clear and dust free way to protect an iPad
I've had so many failed attempts to get a totally dust free result when protecting an iPad I've lost count. But at last, the Skinomi has really done the job for me. The screen cover is 100% clear and smooth, while the back protector is both transparent and robust. It's got a sheen which - I think - actually enhances the look of the iPad.It's not cheap and has to be delivered from the US, so it takes quite a while. But ultimately it really does the job well.

Apple iPad Air Screen.
I have already fitted one of Skinomi's screen protectors to my HTC One X phone and this was just as easy to apply. Great product, best screen protectors on the market. A*****
