Trophy Skin Labelle Skin Spatula - Ultrasonic Pore Cleaner, Blackhead Remover, Exfoliator, and Infuser for Deep Clean Skin Care

Okay soooo ... my expectations were that it was a little bit different ... I realized it was a sonic cleanser and that it also had a reverse kind of "galvanic" effect by driving the products deeper into the epidermis, but for some reason, I also thought that the metal piece was a little sharper so that it would exfoliate more like a "derma-planing" action. It does NOT exfoliate like that. Nonetheless, I am VERY happy with my purchase and would definitely order it again. Make sure to wash your face first - removing makeup and other debris. Then, if you steam your skin first (for best results, I would recommend a mini face steamer which you find at lots of spots but I ordered an inexpensive one on Amazon - I got this one (link below) and it's nice for one short personal quick but effective steam session: http://www.amazon.com/Spaire-BF-F1-Steamer-Moisturizer-Humidifier/dp/B0142QUD0O?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s02. If you don't want to invest in a mini personal steamer, time in a nice hot long shower will do great as will steaming over a sink with a towel over your head like your mom used to do for you when you had an upper respiratory infection, and in a pinch just do some hot towel compresses to open pores and loosen the sebum and debris in the pores. Anyway, it's not necessary to steam first, but I found that it made a BIG difference in how effective this little gadget is! So then you just turn the unit on and run it over your skin. Easy peasy! You want to keep the skin moist for the best result - I have done this in two different ways: (A) Using a bowl of hot water with 2 skincare sponges in it (or you can use a washcloth) (B) I used a hydrating facial spritz - you can use a basic spritz bottle with water if you'd like as well. You will notice some "goo" coming out onto the metal "spatula" piece - just wipe it off and keep on going. It is timed and shuts off after a few minutes, but I am a rebel and don't follow instructions (don't follow my lead unless you really know your skin - you don't want to overstimulate it and make it worse!) so I kept turning it back on and going over my problem areas a few times until I felt that my pores were totally empty. It was AHHH-MAZING for all of the little blackheads and congestion on and around the nose ... awesome for getting into the little creases around your nostrils. No squeezing, no extraction tools, just some sonic vibration and light gliding of the "spatula" piece and my nose was at least as clean as it gets after a facial, maybe even more so. I do use a lighted magnification mirror (aka devices of torture for most of us!) when I perform the treatments. It was also fantastic for removing all of the tiny blackheads in the cheek area that most of us don't even realize we have (get a lighted 10-20x magnifying mirror and "spread" the skin ... you'll see them then!) - once that area is clean and clear, my face looked smooth, clear, even-toned and radiant. It also helped tremendously with the hormonal acne around my chin and jawline - it didn't do too much for the deeper cystic stuff, but it really helped all of the little bumps, dry skin, etc. Once that improved, the deeper stuff went down and cleared up by 85-90%! I'm sure that this all was a combo of the steaming which helped to loosen up the bonds keeping the dead, dry skin cells attached so that they would be easier removed/resolved by this little skin scrubber, using the scrubber regularly, and then using the secondary function of this gadget which is to help sonically drive the treatment products (serums, masks, moisturizers) further into the epidermis so that they could work at a deeper level and be more effective. Since using this item, my skin has REALLY improved. I am well-educated in skincare and have personally tried all sorts of products and gadgets, both professionally and at home. Using the secondary function with an excellent eye cream made an astonishing difference - before I had my usual crows feet and crepiness under the eye from my orbital bone and up. I use this eye cream regularly and it's fantastic and has really made a difference for me, but when used with this tool my crows feet disappeared - really, disappeared, and the under-eye crepey look improve by 80-90%. It was spectacular!!! Of course it was a temporary effect - nothing is going to make crepey skin or fine lines/wrinkles go away overnight - BUT, it lasted for most of the day. In addition to having clean pores pretty much everywhere giving me a youthful, radiant, glowy look, having my crows feet and crepey under-eye skin all but banished at the same time, it was like "WOW!!!" As an FYI, if you are looking for an incredible eye cream, this is the one I used as described above - you can get it online elsewhere but I'd be careful purchasing anyway other than a spa or dermatologists that the company publically approves because I tried to get it cheaper elsewhere and I got old/bad/rancid products and another time with another product from the same line it wasn't the same as usual - when I contacted the company I was told that it was counterfeit! I guess that just like Gucci and Chanel, there is a whole black-market line on high-end skincare and cosmetics too. Anyway the eye cream I used can be purchased here: [...] All in all, this is a great little skincare gadget for the cost. If you use it correctly, you can get some pretty spectacular results - especially depending on your skincare concerns and needs. It is NOT going to give you the same results as a laser resurfacing or a deep peel, etc. AND if you don't use it regularly, it's not going to give you the results you desire. I can tell you that after a SINGLE use (before I even used it with the steam), the next day my husband complimented me on how good my skin looked. When your man notices something like that, you KNOW it's working. This is a guy who didn't realize when I cut my hair from 4 inches lower than my bra strap up to an inch or two below my jaw, if that tells you anything! So don't expect miracles, use it correctly, and you WILL see results. I believe that the longer I use this device, the better and better my skin will become - my pores are already becoming more clean and clear! For treatment of crows feet, fine lines, wrinkles, crepey skin and other "anti-aging" needs, I believe that how well this works is how good your skincare products are. After all, it exfoliates & removes dead skin cells that would otherwise block the full absorption of the products, clears the pores to do the same, and then it uses heated sonic vibrations to drive the product of your choice much deeper into the skin that it would go if you simply cleansed, exfoliated and then manually applied a topical serum or cream. The regular application of quality products, ESPECIALLY in this manner, will make changes - you may have immediate results like I do in my eye area (which as I said, will "wear off" within a day or so) and you will also have more and more improvements over time ... I believe that this will speed up the time that it takes various anti-aging (or other types of skincare products) products to show long-term results. I am excited to have made this purchase and in fact, I have been so busy that I didn't get to use it for the past 5 or 6 days and I can already feel my skin going back to how it was before I started using this ... it is feeling a little bit bumpy in areas, unbalanced (dry in some areas, oily in my T-zone, and some rough patches, so as soon as I complete this review, I can't wait to get into my restroom to re-steam, re-scrub/exfoliate/vibrate out all of my blackheads and "shear" them away, and re-treat with a serum, moisturizer and my eye cream!!! I feel MUCH prettier (not to mention younger ... and naturally prettier, because NOTHING makes you look prettier than better skin!) since I have been using this device, and I would recommend it to anyone else who wants to feel the same - especially if your issues are congestion, black heads, etc. You will see the most immediate results with those types of issues. As I said before, I believe it can also be a great tool when used in conjunction with antiaging products, as it will help them to be absorbed more deeply and fully, increasing their efficacy. Hope it works as well for you as it did for me .... I definitely recommend cleansing your skin, then steaming it first as I did, following with keeping the skin wet throughout the "scrubbing" process, and once done, apply good, high-quality skincare products including a skin specific serum, moisturizer and eye cream and use the implement to drive them further into the epidermis in order to give you both better immediate results and improved and quicker long-term results! This unit seems to be very well made. Simple operation. only 2 buttons. exfoliate or infusion, which I liked. I'm irked when these devices have multiple power settings and obscure functions. I want it simple and straightforward. During first use, I was surprised that I could see gunk coming out of my pores. I have thick oily skin and It seemed to smooth it out and make my pores less noticeable after a few uses. It does leave my face a bit red and dry feeling for a few hours after but all good the next morning. Have not tried the infuser function since my goal is the cleaning function. I would definitely repurchase.

I purchased this last November through Trophy Skin. I have a number of other products from the company as well and have had outstanding customer service from them no matter if I purchased here or directly from the website. I had purchased the microdermmd fromQVC (another trophy skin product) and really liked it so I thought I would try this as well. I saw another band on QVC but it was more expensive, and because I had already had good luck with this company I thought I'd try it out. I love the way this gets all the blackheads out of the side of my nose. Honestly for this alone I'd pay double. It was always so frustrating coming home after a facial and within a few days having the blackheads back no matter what cleanser or peels I used. This little device works so well for that. You have to make sure that you have enough water on your skin so make sure to saturate it or it won't work as well or just stop working and beep at you. Play with the angle and apply just a little pressure (I learned the hard way that I was pushing too hard without enough water and caused a small abrasion...totally my fault but learn from me and don't do it) Besides the sides of my nose my skin is in great shape and although I use it on the rest of my face, unless I have a small blemish it doesn't scrape much off that I can see, however my skin is super smooth after using it. I have not used it to apply serums but it has a second function that will pulse it in the skin. Read the directions, it gives a series of three or five beeps and stops when the battery is low, usually it will restart again and stop again shortly after so make sure to recharge it. The battery does get warm (at least mine does) when using it and charging but not uncomfortably hot, and it doesn't last a super long time so make sure to bring the charger with you if you are going away for the weekend and plan on using it everyday. I own a clarisonic, facial steamer, the microdermmd and a led light for my face (also got thru Trophy Skin). I love them all but probably use this the most.

Not sure what to think about this. Followed the instructions and my entire face is broken out and I'm not really prone to break outs. Your face feels very clean afterwards but in a day or two, I'm covered in spots.

I bought the spatula a year ago and it caused me to have telangiectasia on my face which is a condition in which widened venules (tiny blood vessels) cause threadlike red lines or patterns on the skin. I am now going to deal with it with a laser procedure to remove the damaged capillaries. This device needs to be retested for safety as it is being marketed to the general public and it should be restricted for use by licensed estheticians and dermatologist. I am so disappointed and upset because trying to get my skin better I damaged it with using this device. Please stay away if you are not a trained medical dermatologist or esthetician.

Utterly infuriated to receive this item today only to open it up and discover that it has a US two pin plug on it. NOT EVEN CERTAIN THE TRANSFORMER IS APPROPRIATE FOR UK POWER? I should feel confident when I receive an electrical item, not full of trepidation and concern. This is not good enough.
