I've been purchasing the BTF-LIGHTING RGBW SK6812 LED strips for various projects and I must say, they never disappoint. The pixel density is fantastic, allowing for detailed color displays, and the brightness level of the strip is just stellar. Over the time, I've bought at least 50 of these strips, and the consistency in quality keeps me coming back for more. What stands out is the quality of LEDs. They have proved to be reliable and defect-free, which is crucial for the lighting projects I work on. The individual addressability of the LEDs is a feature that I appreciate a lot, it allows for a myriad of color combinations and animations, making my projects look lively and captivating. The energy efficiency when lighting up a single pure white light is a thoughtful feature, especially in scenarios where I want to manage power consumption while maintaining bright illumination. The chainable design is convenient for extending or customizing the length of the strip to fit specific project requirements. This LED strip has become a go-to for me, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone in need of high-quality, reliable, and vibrant lighting solutions.

Been using these lights for the last 5 years, along with the SP107E Led Controller, for a handful of DIY projects, and just love them. worth the cost. i prefer to have the additional warm LED light for added light up options. Have probably bought close to 10 of these strips over the years, however the last few ones have arrived DOA ( dead on arrival ) in which case i just exchange them for free. Have also splice them at different lengths with no issues ( simple soldering ) only LED strips i would get.

I ordered 3 of these strips and all LEDs were fully functional. Pros: -All LEDs work and are all individually addressable -Warm White color on the white channel is very nice in my opinion -IP65 coating is very nice and clear -Color Response is great! -Voltage drop didn't seem to affect the color on the white channel until the 3rd meter Cons: -Slight gap between the 72nd and 73rd LED as you can see in a couple of the product pictures. Not very noticeable if you use a light diffuser -As of writing this review, there isn't a controller that is alexa compatible that works with the SK6812RGBW standard Other: -With the SP107E controller, there's a "white" slider that operates seperately of the other colors. What this means is you can't switch from "white" to "blue" to "teal," etc. unless you have the "white" slider all the way down. This isn't exactly intuitive and not ideal in my opinion, but it all does work. Customer Service: When I purchased a non-compatible controller (Worked for SK6812 but not SK6812-RGBW), BTF emailed me to let me know and pointed me to other compatible controllers. They were also very helpful answering questions and explaining available options. Best non-amazon customer service I've ever experienced!

EDIT: Customer support reached out and after some back and forth they have agreed to send a replacement strip. Got the replacement and seems to be working fine. Also, the quality seems better and no resistors missing. Also, I am told that ALL stips will have a solder joint down the middle since they are manufactured in 0.5m lengths. ORIGINAL: Title: bad soldering, resistors missing The overall quality is mediocre. The soldering is cheap and there is 1 resistor missing. 2 other seem like they will shortly come off and not sure if they are connecting. The 1m strip I got is composed of two strips. Depending on your needs, this will affect the LED density of the strip, since there is a bigger gap due to the solder joint.

UPDATE: This morning I was contacted by BTF about resolving the issue. They offered me a refund or replacement to remedy the situation. They were very pleasant and accommodating when they didn't have to be. This seems to be a single bad experience, which they are correcting 100%. I have used their other strips which are great strips, and now I can say that their customer service is TOP NOTCH. Very shocked that they would be willing to help me after so many months. Thank you BTF. I have found numerous vendors for these strips. After this experience, I'm happy to say that BTF will be my sole provider moving forward. ORIGINAL REVIEW (9/26/18) I purchased the BTF SK6812's a few months ago. I have been wiring SK6812 (3535) strips and WS2812B strips for a while now. These SK6812's are the 5050 version and I thought I would give a set (2 rolls) a try. THEY DID NOT WORK. I have rewired them 6 times, and used multiple gage wire, connectors, and power sources with no luck. I have tested with my multi-meter too and everything is wired correctly, power is traveling through the strips, but the LED's just won't light up. The SK6812's were around $27, where the WS2812B strips are as low as $20 and a LOT better. I wish I knew I had a bad set of strips while I was still in the return time. $55 dollars totally wasted. These are not worth the risk. I would highly recommend the BTF WS2812B's instead. I have not had a single problem with those.

This led strip looks great but it has no wiring or connection instructions. I have reached out to the vendor but haven’t received any response yet.

Very nice colors, nice and bright, VERY dense pixel count, just be aware it's not the standard 10mm width, it's 12mm, I had to 3D print new mounts for these.

This review is specifically for the BTF lighting RGBW high density strips. Replaced existing lighting with LED channel strips. After three or four unsatisfactory attempts I decided to try this brand and have been pleasantly surprised. Great quality, no defects, good worksmanship on the end connectors, and nicely packaged. Beautiful light end-to-end with this product. Liked it so much I’ve ordered four times now!

Ich habe den SK6812 LED-Stripe in Kombination mit dem WLED Controller von cod.m und meinem Loxone-System im Einsatz und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt. Der Stripe macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck und lässt sich problemlos in ein bestehendes Loxone Smart-Home-System integrieren. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Flexibilität bei der Programmierung. Mit dem WLED Controller kann man mühelos Effekte wie Lauflichter und andere dynamische Lichtspiele realisieren. In meinem konkreten Anwendungsfall habe ich den Stripe so konfiguriert, dass er bei Bewegung und Torsteuerung verschiedene Signale gibt: Ein rotes Lauflicht zeigt an, wenn das Tor fährt, nach Beendigung der Fahrt wechselt das Licht kurzzeitig auf grün, und bei längerer Endposition und Bewegungserkennung sorgen weiße Lichtspots für zusätzliche Beleuchtung. Diese Visualisierungen sind nicht nur praktisch, sondern auch ein echter Hingucker. Darüber hinaus sind die Möglichkeiten mit dem Stripe nahezu unbegrenzt. Von statischen Farben bis hin zu komplexen Lichtshows ist alles möglich. Die Farben sind kräftig und gleichmäßig verteilt, und auch die Helligkeit überzeugt. Dank der einfachen Ansteuerung über den WLED Controller in Verbindung mit Loxone ist die Konfiguration schnell und unkompliziert. Insgesamt kann ich den SK6812 LED-Stripe uneingeschränkt empfehlen, insbesondere wenn man Wert auf eine hochwertige Verarbeitung und flexible Einsatzmöglichkeiten legt. Ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen und empfehle ihn gerne weiter, wenn jemand nach einem zuverlässigen LED-Stripe fragt.

hopefully it’s just the light strip I received but it right above the solder joint the led’s flicker different colours basically half the light does it, I’d try it out with one of their less costly ones.
