I purchased the pork, soy, and miso flavors. The only thing I was disappointed in was the time it took to get here. But when you figure that it was sent Japan Post and likely shipped to the US via Cargo ship I guess it isn't too bad. about 6 weeks. I was not overly fond of the Pork flavor, its not bad but it would not be my first choice. I really loved the soy and the miso. Especially the soy. The noodles are thin but very delicious. If you get these via japan, all instructions are in Japanese characters so translating was not easy. Basically just bring 2 cups water to boil (I found it worked best for me at near boil, bubbles just starting to form). Add noodles and and wait 1 minute 30 seconds. The noodle block will just start to separate. While waiting for the noodles to be done, add a little of the hot water to the flavor packs in the bowl to dissolve. This method works better than adding flavor to the cooked noodles as the flavor packs take a little to be dissolved properly. Especially with the Pork and Miso. The Pork contains both a powder and an oil type substance (kind of looks like melted butter). The Miso contains a paste. The soy is not much of an issue as it is simply a liquid flavor pack that dissolves easily. For those that have never had true instant ramen, this is nothing like cup-o-soup or marchaun. Those are cheap and good instant noodles The american idea of ramen but not really the same thing. These are TRUE instant ramens and well worth the cost. Review: Although certainly not my favorite instant noodles - Although certainly not my favorite instant noodles, these are really good. I like the soy sauce flavor better than the miso flavor. The noodles have a really nice texture, and the broth is quite good. You really can't go wrong with these noodles.

but didn't really like the flavor of the soup
I had high expectations per reviews, but didn't really like the flavor of the soup. The texture of the noodles are pretty good. Not really worth the high cost.

Real ramen you can make at home.
Love this stuff!! I tried the soy sauce flavor and it reminded me of the ramen I often ate when I lived in Yokohama, Japan. My American school did not have a cafeteria in order to encourage us to eat ("in the economy") in local establishments. The ramen was typically accompanied by spinach, fish cake, pork and boiled egg. When I prepare Nissin -Raoh, I cook it a little less than 4 minutes because it keeps cooking in the broth and I despise too soft noodles or pasta; add a half of a soft boiled egg, sliced green onions, toasted seaweed -nori, red pepper flakes or shichimi togarashi - a Japanese red pepper blend and sometimes a small amount of cooked meat or seafood, if available but not necessary. .OISHII! BTW - I tried the U.S. produced version of this brand of ramen and it was very good but did a blind taste test with my family and we chose the original Japanese version 3/3 times.

The absolute best instant Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen (imported version is even better)!
After reading reviews claiming that this product is better than the Nissin Raoh ramen with the English packaging, I decided to give it a try. Delivery took over a month, but it was worth the wait. The package comes with a similar liquid flavor packet, but it also includes an additional dry packet, and it works wonders. It does add a scent that may or may not appeal to you, but the flavor it adds in unquestionably an improvement, moving the resulting bowl of ramen another step towards restaurant quality.

Try it!
Great tasting. Thicker noodles. Sauce packet instead of powder so it's a little oily. Packages are in Japanese so unless you can read it, you won't understand it. However, the numbers in the directions are numeric, so you can figure out what you're doing.

The broth smelled like and tasted like asparagus pee. The noodles were good though!
