Loved this! Great gift, perfect for decor!

This is a gift for my really hard-to-buy for husband, and I predict he's going to love it. It's heavy, so it doesn't look or feel like a toy. The case is well made, and I imagine this being displayed along with a few other eclectic pieces. And it works. I was able to see a tree line very clearly a little over a half mile away.

I bought 6 of these for gifts at work. The scope itself is really cool, and the people receiving them loved them. BUT... I was disappointed that the carrying cases for them stunk of mildew! Of the 6 I purchased, only one did not have mildew in it. The other 5, I had to clean the cases out with a toothbrush, compressed air, and baking soda. I left baking soda in the cases for a few days to get the musty smell out. The smell was so strong that I was able to smell them from down the hall! But the spy-glasses themselves were really cool and could actually see something using them.

Grandson loved it. He is also looking at other replica items from military history.

If you have heard the phrase “under promise but over impress” this spyglass fits it perfectly. My son is a a new sailboat owner and we struggle to find him gifts for birthdays and Christmas. I was stupefied at the great quality of this glass and the case the spyglass is impressive and if the case it isn’t leather it should be I can’t tell the difference. My son was over the moon with this item. The timing and the appropriateness of his birthday made this gift perfect for the occasion. occasion. I say get one of only for yourself for fun and a conversation piece.

It’s a shame, the glass’s is very nice, well built and it comes with this cheap ass piece of 💩 for a case that makes look like a toy.

This was so awesome and beyond my expectations. There were several listings for this exact product (even same product pictures) on Etsy for double the price, sometimes more. It seems Etsy sellers simply buy this from Amazon and try to pass it off as their own product. You can't go wrong with this product. We are having a Pirates of the Caribbean themed Halloween party later this year and this will be an excellent display prop. Delivery was very fast also!

Works well, would have been better if it had the leather surround like the real one.
