Very Nice PC 'In a box'!
I've only had this N40 computer for a day .. so this review is preliminary. A few comments:- The Celeron N4000 cpu is very capable for all routine uses that you would use a PC for.- 4 GB ram is also adequate for all routine PC uses. You can easily have several apps open and Chrome with several tabs open at the same time.- 64 GB of permanent storage is about the minimum to manage Windows 10 and it's updates and yet have a reasonable amount of room for apps and data files. 32 GB is a struggle to get the Windows 10 updates installed- This has many ports .. more than the small laptop that I'm typing this on! This will support most common uses of the N40- It booted up quickly and within a few hours the Windows 10 Pro downloaded and installed the updates to make it current- I plugged it into an HDMI port on my TV and connected a bluetooth keyboard and now have a widescreen 'PC'. Very simple to get this working. I powered up the N40 and in a few sections the Windows home screen appeared. I turned on the bluetooth keyboard and it was active on the N40 in seconds to allow me to enter my password. The display on my inexpensive 42 inch LCD TV is perfect to my eye.- The N40 typically gets just slightly warm to the touch. Have it displaying video (or other compute intensive app) will make it warm up a bit more, but not excessive. No fan and no need for one.- Two good options to add more storage: the SD card slot and the internal connector where a very large capacity SSD card may be added.- In summary .. this is an impressive computer in an approximately 5 x 5 x 1 inch box. It has all the resources to support many situations where a small computer is indicated.

Fantastic for a personal Cloud PC or kids' school workstation
This is a fantastic unit keeping in mind its specs... I had a need to shift my office's Quickbooks Desktop to some form of cloud offering with the new work from home world. I had switched to Quickbooks online for a couple of weeks and cant tell enough people how terrible it is, I then was looking into cloud based Quickbooks Desktop but all these companies are asking hundreds a year for cloud PC access.....Enter this little unit.Ive mounted this under my TV, next to my router, It is plugged into only the power and hardwired internet. Ive installed a couple of remote desktop apps incase one goes down and Installed my Quickbooks desktop. Now, where ever I am, the office, home or at a clients, I have full access to all of my data without having to do backups and restores. Now remember this is a low powered unit, which is why I bought it as itll stay on 24/7 but this will not run well if you're keeping tons of web tabs open, checking emails, listening to music.......a 1 or 2 task at a time PC is what this is.

Doesn't do two 4k outputs at once
Even two blu ray videos cause lag, but I am not surprised. I use it for only one monitor and mostly content creation, so I have a mic, drawing tablet, DAC, and it can handle all my applications like Blender, Krita, and Helm. 1080p 60fps youtube playback on one screen (or two if mirrored) is smooth and nice, don't expect steam games if they are better of on a 4,000$ gaming machine. Visuals novels, emulators, and browing the web work great on this machine, I use Linux Debian.

Wonderful tiny, silent file server
Installed Ubuntu server 22.04LTS very easily. Only challenge was I never figured out the magic key to get into the bios during start-up, so I had to set up windows just to access the bios, to get the system to boot first off the usb stick holding the installation system.Currently using the system for its intended purpose, as a headless SMB server for our Sonos system; all our music (we don't have a huge collection) in lossless format can fit on the supplied internal storage along with the OS.I had tested the system with the ubuntu desktop live-usb before installing ubuntu server, and can report that HDMI video worked perfectly (didn't test audio), as well as wifi, bluetooth and all the USB ports.

Unstable - constantly freezes
This would have been a very nice unit if it ran stably, but the unit I got may have been defective and it freezes constantly. Got Windows set up, joined the home domain, was browsing the internet to download antivirus and... the unit froze. Power cycled the unit, downloaded antivirus, started installing it, and the unit froze again. Power cycled the unit and froze on the login screen. Power cycled the unit, did a factory reset on Windows installation and am now getting ready to send this unit back.

Great work from home machine
I have been working from home now since March 2020 and I have been using my gaming PC. I decided I wanted to move the gaming PC back out of the home office space so I needed something to use for work that was also able to run 2 monitors. The only thing I needed was something with windows and internet capabilities so I could run a virtual desktop. I could not be happier with this little machine. I was able to hook it up. attach it to the back of one of the monitors and I was up and running in no time. I highly recommend this for what I described. I wish I had done this sooner!Update: I have been using this computer now for 6 months and I am still pleased as punch with this machine. It has not given me one moment of trouble. I highly recommend this for working at home on a VPN network for sure!
