need to keep your face wet/moist otherwise cream becomes too dry. seems to help cut down on acne.

Best shaving cream for sensitive skin. I've noticed a dramatic increase in clarity.

My goal since learning to shave has not been finding something that could give me the closest shave ever but instead finding a regimen that would provide me with an irritation free shave. I shave every other day during the week.Briefly, my story- I took accutane in high school and since then most of my acne has come from a result of shaving. Over the past 5 years I ditched the gilette and tried wet shaving with a thousand combination of products, creams, blades and balms.I think I stumbled on arithmetic when googling acne from shaving....the added ingredients caught my eye and I gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did because it has thus far been the best thing I have found. So long as I'm not rushing and I have good technique, no bumps and pimples. Finally!!!! This cream does not require a shaving brush (which may also have added to my acne previously), you just rub it in with a bit of water and it does the trick.I think what makes the big difference is the zinc, aloe, and whatever else goes in here. My skin is much happier (and consistent) after using this than it was with some high end "sensitive skin" shaving creams.You need to use a little more than what you would typically use to lather with a shaving brush, so it won't last 10 months like some shaving creams I'm used to. I'm a few months in and I think it'll be anywhere from 4-6 months for me.A couple of things that I think are important to having clear post-shaving skin regardless of what type of shaving cream you use:-Use a safety razor of course, some people are comfortable reusing the blades but I prefer to throw away and start fresh (they're so cheap).-Make sure your blade and razor handle are clean. Soak the razor in some rubbing alcohol before and after using.-Change your pillowcase a few times a week, always the night after you shave.-Use a fresh or dedicated towel for your face after shaving, do not use your body towel.-Don't use too many other items (ie. pre-shave, post shave balm, etc). At least for my skin it was overkill and just clogged my pores. Witch hazel and a mild face moisturizer does a fine job post shave for me.

I decided to try Arithmetic Shave cream because of the amount of razor burn I typically get on my chin when using the typical gel based shave products you find in drug stores and supermarkets. I cycled through all the conventional shave creams/gels and razors, and nothing seemed to help. I'm happy to say that Arithemtic eliminated all of the razor burn I experienced, and took the pain out of my daily shave. I also feel like I get a closer shave, even in the areas that I used to experience razor burn. Artihmetic is now my standard for shaving and I can't see myself going back to anything else. I should also say that the texture and smell of the product are unique in a good way, and I enjoy that. For those that don't like fragrances, it's not overpowering and doesn't stay with you after the shave. I highly recommend giving this a try. The only downside is the price, but the jar lasts longer than you think. Definitely a worthwhile investment for the better feeling and closer shave.

This shave cream is great because it does the job well. I've used it now for about 2 weeks and it's going to be hard to go back to my previous brand, Barbasol.When using Arithmetic, I don't experience any of the shave "sting" which I thought was normal. The cream has a light, pleasing scent that is neither overbearing or harsh. I highly recommend it.

Really like this product, a little goes a long way. Smells great and leaves skin feeling smooth. Perfect for sensitive skin. Highly recommend, will buy again.
