Nice scooter for short commute
I’ve been using the Gotrax GXL V2 for few weeks now, mostly for short commutes and quick trips around town, and it’s been a really solid purchase. Setup was easy—took me maybe 10 minutes out of the box before I was riding. The motor is surprisingly strong for something this lightweight. I’m about average build, and it gets me up to 15 mph without much trouble. Flat roads are smooth, and while it can handle mild inclines, it definitely slows down a bit on steeper hills. The 8.5" solid tires mean no flats, which I love, but you do feel bumps more compared to air-filled tires. On decent pavement, it’s fine, but if your roads are rough, you’ll notice the vibration. Brakes are responsive and give a good sense of control. it’s light enough to fold and carry into my office or up a flight of stairs. The folding mechanism is straightforward and locks securely. Big plus if you’re commuting and need to take it on a bus or train. Battery life: I get close to the advertised 12 miles on a full charge, but realistically it’s more like 8–10 miles depending on speed and terrain. Charging takes a few hours, which is manageable since I usually just plug it in overnight. Overall: For the price, this scooter is an excellent balance of performance, portability, and build quality. It’s not meant for long-distance commuting or rough terrain, but if you’re looking for something reliable for daily short trips, this is a great option. Would definitely recommend it to students, casual commuters, or anyone who just wants a fun, practical way to get around the neighborhood.

Great Scooter for College
Bought for my daughter at college. Smooth, holds a good charge, easy for first time scooter rider, great price. Not terribly heavy. Great quality!

Fun, Reliable, and Perfect for Everyday Use!
I’ve been really impressed with this scooter. It’s lightweight and easy to fold, which makes it convenient to carry and store, but at the same time it feels sturdy and safe to ride. The balance between portability and stability is excellent, so whether I’m heading out for errands or just taking a casual ride, it always feels comfortable. One of my favorite experiences was bringing it to a community road closure event where the streets were blocked off for biking and scootering. Being able to ride freely on the open road without cars around was such a great experience—smooth, effortless, and a lot of fun! It really showed me how versatile and enjoyable this scooter can be, not just for commuting but also for recreational rides. Overall, this scooter has been a great purchase. It’s reliable, practical, and fun to use, and it’s given me a new way to get around while also enjoying the ride itself. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dependable and affordable electric scooter!

Very poor quality
I purchased this scooter in 6/2023. Initially, it functioned well, but just after a month of use, the throttle stopped working. I contacted support and, after sending them a video demonstrating the problem, they confirmed the piece was damaged and sent a replacement. The replacement took about 2 weeks to arrive, so in the meantime, I had to walk to work. Once I received the replacement, the scooter worked fine for a while, but then it started making a terrible, loud sound. Whenever I'm going uphill, it makes this loud, terrible squealing sound, and I have to kick to assist it, or else it won't go up, and it would completely drain the battery. Speaking of the battery, it lasts no more than 3 or 4 miles and its endurance seems to be diminishing over time. I fear that soon I won't even be able to complete my usual 2-mile round trip before the scooter dies. My girlfriend bought a Volpam scooter for a very similar price and it works great: the battery lasts several days, it doesn't make any noise, it goes faster, and it doesn't die going uphill. I wouldn't recommend this scooter to anyone. Sadly, I might have to buy a new one soon because I don't think this one will last much longer. Overall, it was a very bad experience. Don't waste your money on this scooter. Update (Dec-2023): The throttle stopped working again out of nowhere. The worst part is that I was going downhill when the screen turned off and the brakes didn't respond when the scooter was off. So I was fortunate enough to have the green light ahead when this happened and that no one was in front. Otherwise, this could have ended up pretty bad. I don't know what else to say at this point. Complete disappointment and waste of money.
