Columbia Sportswear Women's 5-Inch East Ridge Shorts

I'm really happy with these shorts. I'm 5'9", 130-135 lbs (thin, with little to no butt) and size 6 fit perfect. The cut of the shorts is great. They don't look baggy and unflattering, but they're not tight either. And the length is great as well. Not awkwardly long, but not so short you feel uncomfortable. They're a good weight of material, too. Sometimes hiking pant fabric can be very soft/thin, but these are the perfect weight. Thin enough to be quick drying and cool, but substantial enough to hold up and last.I used these for a camping trip last weekend, which included a day of canoeing, and I don't have any complaints.

These are good shorts for hiking outdoors are running errands. The only issue I had, since they repel water, when it's really hot out and you are sweating, you are pretty much just sitting in our sweat. Thankfully we don't live where it gets too hot, otherwise I would go with Columbia's other shorts that are more breathable. But these have been holding up great for me.

Material is great, light and comfortable. These run just a little small, I usually wear a 6, have to wear a belt with these 8's but a 6 was snug.. Just a little too short for golf but great for hiking, dog walking in hot weather. Nice pockets.

I usually wear about a size 4, but I should have ordered a 2. I have about a 25" waist, and these rest around the hips, so they look a bit longer/looser than the photo. Order a size down.

On re order # 115-5861509-4347410 I ordered these items as a gift for my wife, I am a 100% disabled veteran and after placing this order my health issues did not allow me to try and return these items I ordered as a gift since my wife just unwrapped her gifts this past sunday Oct. 5 2014 and now that we know these items are not to her liking I find that I cannot return these things.i guess that I will not be ordering things online in the future, and that there was no shipping invoice sent along with your policies.the fit and materials used were not to my wife's liking. X-customer.

Not cute. Thought they would be good for traveling, but they arrived in a wrinkled mess.

It's too thin. I expected more.

These fit true to size and are very comfortable. They sit at just the right point on the waste, not too high, not too low to be practical for outdoor activities. Perfect for hot weather, they breathe really well and are good quality.
