Traxxas 3678 Wheelie Bar Assembly for Traxxas 2WD Electric Vehicles

So I have a Traxxas Rustler 4x4, and if you have one too, you've surely noticed that the stock wheelie bar is extremely flexible, making it difficult to have stable wheelies. On Traxxas's website, they had a Rustler write up that uses this wheelie bar and a few other components to mount this on the Rustler. This wheelie bar has a solid mount rather than the flexible stock one, and the wheelie bar height is adjustable by unclipping it on the "bar" its on and moving it up and down. Absolutely awesome for setting it low to prevent high wheelies or "launch flipping" and being much more in control of wheelies. One thing I had found is that in rougher terrain if the back end of the car comes down on the bar sometimes it will unclip from adjustment bar and lay on the ground behind the car, I solved this by getting a soft velcro cable wrap and using that to "lock" the bar in the position I want it in, works perfect with no issues and is well worth the money. Major upgrade to the stock wheelie bar!

An absolute must AFAIC! An OEM accessory designed to keep your expensive 2WD Traxxas stadium racer (Stampede, Rustler, etc.) from flipping under hard acceleration AND acts as a protective bumper (wheelie bar section is removable for use as a stand-alone bumper as well) for the expensive and fragile drive components (motor, gearbox, suspension, etc) located in the rear of the vehicle. Perfect fit and supplied with all needed hardware and detailed illustrated instructions. Made from the same HD nylon that the chassis is made of. Three-position adjustable wheelie height, with optional upgraded wheels/tires available in various colors. I installed this, along with the RPM wide bumper on my Nephew's Rustler that I got them for Christmas 2015, and it immediately began paying dividends. I immediately smacked the thing into several walls, at a decent clip in both directions, and it held up beautifully. It also allows for great extended power wheelies without fear of flip-over. Well-worth the small outlay for all the protection it provides! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Welllllll how should I say this...... I bought this product on the 10th of January. I installed this part on my Rustler and took it out for a spin. The part were great it's a lot bigger than you think it is and I had it on my truck in less than 20 minutes. Later I went out for speed run got my car up to about 50 gave it full throttle and it's not the Willy bar causing my rear axle to break today January 15th. I am going to contact the seller to see if I can get a new one if not I will be buying a new one. So as you can see I am 50 50 on this part but it does make your car look really good and it does work I also bought the aftermarket blue wheels by Traxxas that goes on it with the rubber tires so I guess I got an extra set of those now imma just tell you buy at your own risk and make sure that you operate your car on a smooth surface.

Works

Simple to install and makes driving a lot more fun. I like that it is adjustable so we can either go into full wheelie play mode or force the front tires to stay on the ground. Where it adjusts can get knocked loose, but it only takes a second to lock it back in place. I'm not sure of a way to design it (at this price point) to fully lock it into position.

My rustler used to flip over when I full throttled it, this has worked great at keeping it stable through wheelies. Connects straight to the motor cover and the body so I'm not really worried about it coming off or breaking.

Delivered quickly and got this with the RPM Wide Front Bumper. It was fairly easy to install. You have to remove two screws from the transmission area, which is kind of tight for one of the screws. Otherwise, to install it afterwards was quick. It'll be a good for wheelies and as an extended rear bumper.
