Only as useful as you make it!
I'm doing a review on this product which is overall a five-star if you're using it as a template, by itself it's still may underperform. But this is the best thing money can buy if you can take your creative imagination to help make this thing go to the next step. I would recommend buying this again for any person who needs to clear their voice down for less than $1,000.For me I added sound pads that were online thicker and better I also have to manually cut a hole in the box so it can stay on my stand the way it was intended and then I have to add a little extra support TLC to ensure that it stays in place. The sound is impeccable when it's done the way that I just described, the sound out the box is not the same as if you customize it to make it better.

I cannot praise this little sound box enough
I had to sit and look at my new box for a while before I could use it because my existing microphone stand was too tall and did not fit inside the box, so my excitement may have been hightened a bit by having to wait in anticipation to use my new toy. Once I bought a more suitable stand and tested the box I was really happy with the noise reduction and it is going to make a huge difference to my workflow. Now I will not have to do my voice overs at 4am when it is dead quiet. I would highly recommend this for anyone creating video tutorials and other online videos where you don't see the presenter's face.

Adhesion is useless.. foam falls out ... difficult to run wire through back without messing up foam
Not the easiest to put together, as the foam has to be put in place, and there is only one strip of stick on the top ... and it isn't sticky enough to actually hold the top foam in place, so the top foam sags and pulls down the side foam. I had to buy double sided sticky tape to get it to get each of the four foam panels stay in place (not provided). There is foam in front of where the wire runs, and it isn't super easy to get it to go through the back. The box is also too small to fit the standard size filter that goes with my microphone.

It does what I need it to do
I purchased this item because I am recording an audiobook. It does cut down on the echo in the room. I sit it on my desk. It would be nice if there was some sort of adhesion so it doesn't slide around. It does fold flat. I just wish it could fold smaller. It's flat, but long when folded. The foam doesn't stay in place all that well, but I can get it to stay. The author of the audio book was pleased with the sound, so this does just what I need it to do at an affordable price.

Get double sided tape!
I did buy double sided tape to hold up the sound panels, and it won't stick to the material(s). The panels will buckle and fall without some kind of adhesive, but it won't stick making this product useless. Don't purchase it! Buy some sound absorbing panels for $20 and get a wooden box (even cardboard would be a step-up from this cloth-ish box) and some Elmer's glue.Original Review: Be sure to add double sided tape to your order because the panels will buckle and bend. Neat idea but poorly executed for the price point.

Happy with my choice vs. the other isolation shields....
I almost purchased one of the many isolation noise shields available on Amazon. I stumbled across this noise elimination shield box cube and am pleased with my purchase. I can't compare it to the others because I have never had one of the other products. I bought this because it gave protection on all sides of the microphone. I have noise where I am recording, even if it is not very noticeable to the human ear. As a result, this does an effective job and also is portable. Very light and easy to take down and build up. Definitely recommend.

Only useful with a tripod mic. Not good for musicians
Looks bad, you need to use adhesive, and there's no way without significant modification to attach this to any sort of microphone stand. If you have a small tripod mic stand and are recording at a desk, this is useful and does help with noise reduction. If you're recording vocals for music however, this is terrible (unless you have an adjustable platform you can put this on to adjust to the height of a person standing). No way to run cables through other than the front, foam looks kinda crappy even when adhered, and the cube sags slightly under the weight.

Recordings were made with a blue snowball mic and have been much better than anything else I have tried including setting up ...
Have been using this for just a small amount of calendar time, but the box has received extensive successive use in the past week. Recordings were made with a blue snowball mic and have been much better than anything else I have tried including setting up blankets all around a closet. much easier and well worth the 40.00 price tag.My simple expedient to the problem of the sides falling down was to pin the foam to some cardboard and put the cardboard in. It works so well I cannot give this four stars for the foam sides that just won't stay standing on their own.I only need to do minor adjustment to my readings now to make them sale worthy.
