Rugged, Comfortable, Water Resistant
I swear by these socks. Expensive but a great investment for hiking and outdoor activity in variable weather conditions.

Awesome socks!
Super impressed by these, feet stay warm and dry. Could not ask for a better product. Did not have any issue with the circulation being cut off in my legs either.

An alternative to bringing waterproof boots.
Photography on the beach, especially at the Pacific Ocean, presents a bit of an issue. IT's always very cold! Does one bring an extra set of Wellies, or to save space, just bring a pair of Seaskinz and wear them with sandals! Cut the weight and bulk, and just bring a pair of Sealskinz!

Waterproof, warm
I wore these backpacking 2 days and 1 night. Kept me warm and dry. First day was in the 40s°F, 2nd day was very low 30s°F (some ice on a puddle at 1:30pm). There were scattered sections of soupy mud and water, sometimes above my ankle and shoe (Merrel Nova2 GTX). I only felt a chill for a few moments. I tried to rinse off mud right away in clear water so my shoes would dry faster as I walked. I had my hiking pants tucked into the socks. These socks are a top-notch solution to hiking in wet stuff.

Hey Sealskinz, does this look waterproof to you?
The media could not be loaded. Because it doesn’t look waterproof to me! I bought 3 pairs of Sealskinz socks. I wore one sock from each of 2 pairs (one knee length) on a short walk where I tested them in a clear cold river, worn inside trail running shoes, calf compression sleeves over the socks, gortex rain pants, short gators over the rain pants. I pretty quickly realized something was not right. I went deep enough to over top the mid length sock, so it was expected that sock would fill from the top, it did. Both socks were soaked inside when I returned to my truck, but the knee length one was dry above my ankle, and my calf was dry, so the water went through the sock portion inside the shoe. 2 days later I decided to test all 6 socks by turning them inside out and filling with water. Four socks had never been worn. Water depth/pressure would be the same as if stepping into water. Three out of 6 leaked, 2 of those had never been worn. See my photo and video. Dang, I really wanted these to work for a multi-day caving tour in Vietnam that involved a lot of wading and mud, making waterproof shoes a liability.

Fit like a mitten
The socks run large in my opinion. I bought the L and I’m a 45 EU. The sock isn’t snug at my foot and feels like it’s in a loose fitting bag. Definitely wouldn’t buy again for the fit alone.

Crazy Technology
This is the only socks you’ll need if you don’t want to get your feet wet.... I bought I for my boyfriend because he keep complaining about how his feet always gets wet when he mountain bikes after a rain fall...because his clip on shoes aren’t waterproof but great for hiking(it’s breathable and have comfortable insole) so I found this solution, and now his feet never gets wet and works perfectly...I didn’t believe it and I tested myself in the shower ...and sure enough my feet was dry💁🏼♀️ Magical. Get it !! You won’t regret !

Not as wet as regular socks
Nothing can protect you from complete immersion but these socks are comfortable and excellent for hiking.

They Technically Work
It took a while for me to accidentally step in a puddle deep enough to test the efficacy of these socks. It finally happened recently. They do get wet on the outside, and your foot does get cold from the outside of the sock getting wet with cold water if it's the only pair of socks that you're wearing, but when you take the sock off you'll find that your foot is actually dry. So it does technically work.

Great for canoe tripping
Used them for a canoe trip in late October in Algonquin Park. Had to get in the water multiple times for beaver dams and it kept my feet dry for the whole three day adventure. Not sure if they would be breathable enough to be worth it in the summer with moisture from sweat.
