Great unit; saves tons of energy $; vibration comments r all wrong
This is a great unit. It is a little small but that means it fits in places other machines can't. Cleaning is fantastic -- you only need to use like 25% of the detergent you normally would: it somehow concentrates the effectiveness of detergent. Seriously if you use half of what you normally use, it is way way too much. So right there you will save money. Next, the energy tag that comes with the unit says it will cost $13 a year if you wash 5 loads a week -- this is also way less than the average washer / dryer pair. More $ savings. The best part though is how you can program the unit to wash then dry immediately afterwards by itself. Time savings -- no longer have to take clothes out of one machine and place into another. Yes, it can take a looooong time (up to 7+ hours), but this is no big deal. Put a load in before bed and it is completely ready the next morning. Put another load in then and it is finished by dinner. Big whoop. Finally, the vibration complaints are probably owner mistakes vs bona fide machine problems. First off, there are 4 shipping bolts on the back of the unit which most be removed. That is probably the cause of 90% of the complaints. Next, the unit most be absolutely level. You need to invest in a quality 1 or 2 foot long level and check all 4 sides of the unit and make it as perfect as possible -- this solved my problem. We are currenly using as a 2nd machine in the household -- we are a family of 5 and sometimes need to wash lots of sheets / towels so this was bought to supplement our conventional washer/dryer pair. I like it so much I may actually buy another one. NB: price fluctuates quite a bit on Amazon -- be patient and you might be able to get in the high 700s.

Flooded our condo! (Beware WARRANTY is a scam)
We were happy with the compact size and the fact that it was ventless. Although we had to change the 220 outlet to a 120 outlet, Pros 1 I can see how this would be very convenient in a small condo/appartment, motorhome or houseboat 2 it is ventless and uses water to take away the lint. 3 price is lower than other 2:1 or stackable washer and dryers But you get what you pay for. Con I The clothes will NOT fully dry unless on the highest dry setting. (Adding time to the cycle) 2 The shortest setting to get the clothes cwashed and dried is 3 hours. Most cycles are around 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 for a single load, and note the load capacity is small, so if you have a lot of laundry, good luck! 3 warranty Support is pathetic. We purchased in July of 2023, it stopped draining fully February 16th we contacted customer support and had to fill out a form, never heard back. In the mean time, the dryer while OFF would start draining the left over water randomly. No cycle was running, the power button was off. I contacted support a second time to advise them of the updated issue. I unplugged the machine from the outlet because we couldn’t figure out why the washer would start kicking on in the powered off position. We left the condo for 2 hours and came back to a flooded condo. We finally called a repair person to come out because the Warrenty Company NEVER called or emailed us back. We now have a $400 repair bill on top of the time it took to dry out rugs and furniture. Most likely a faulty valve but we have to wait for 3 more days until the part comes in for them to actually fix the unit. It’s best to spend a little more money and avoid this product and company. UPDATE: We finally received a response two and a half weeks after we filed the claim. They requested the same information we already provided. I informed them that since we did not hear from them for weeks, we had it repaired and provided a copy of the receipt of just the repair (not including the money we spent to launder our clothing while the unit was not working). They were made aware of the flooding that occurred. A week and a half later I received their response stating that they determined the unit was damaged and they denied the warranty claim. This unit was in no way shape or form damaged, it was unboxed feet from the closet it was put in to. All set up instructions were followed and it worked fine for months without any issue. It was never removed from the closet so it could not have been damaged. The only thing o could figure they counted as damage is that we had it FIXED prior to them authorizing a repair, but, we could not be that long without the ability to do laundry. BEWARE they are a scam!!

Would be 5 stars but not this time.
It's works like it is suppost to. The only thing is I can't find a pedestal to put it on it is very close to the floor and I have trouble getting my clothes out The other thing is I have tried to level it out and can't get it to stop shaking my trailer. But over all it is good.

Arrived Damaged - But Read to End
This arrived via UPS and, although it didn't show from the outside, appears to have been dropped on the top front corner. I didn't finish unpacking it and immediately contacted Amazon for a return. Although they didn't give me any grief about a return, arranging to have the damaged unit picked up was a pain and Amazon was not going to give me a refund until the damaged unit arrived at their return center, which would take two to three weeks! I had to go up the chain of command until a supervisor approved an immediate refund so I could buy a new one from another source (Walmart.com - it was shipped directly from the distributor (Curtis) and arrived secured to a pallet. As to the unit itself: It is terrific for our purpose. We knew what we were buying in terms of cycling time so there were no surprises. There are just two of us and it had to be in the kitchen right next to the dishwasher. The "Quick Wash" cycle takes 2:20 and works for 95% of our loads -- even if we have to air dry denim work pants for an hour or two after they come out. The "Cotton" setting will get them completely dry -- in over four hours! If you want speed and capacity, this isn't for you. Note that the drain hose can gurgle but I mitigated this by stuffing insulation all around the hose where it meets the drain and between the back of the machine and the wall.

Perfect
I followed the install instructions. I removed the four bolts in the back. Hooked up fresh and gray water lines. After my first 5 loads, it does exactly what it is advertised to do. It does take 4 hours to dry, and if you leave the full load in, you need to run it two cycles to dry. This does everything a washer and dryer does, just takes a little longer. After the wash cycle, you have to manually start the dry cycle. Or, I just haven't figured that part out yet. The drum is a little smaller than my old washer, but not much of a difference to complain about. This is a small unit so a family of 5 would be difficult to keep up, but for a single man doing bedding once a week with about 5 loads consisting of towels and clothing, this unit is perfect. To all the bad reviews, you should have read what you were buying. I would buy this again, and would recommend to a friend. UPDATE- I figured out how to load laundry once, set the dial to wash and dry in one cycle. I load, set it, turn on the cycle and leave for work, or sleep for the night. At the end of the cycle the clothes are dry and ready to fold. Wow are the clothes clean! Super happy with the purchase!

DO NOT BUY THIS!
If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased this brand new washer/dryer a few months ago. Because the contractor got behind, it couldn't be installed until after the return window had closed. After running a grand total of four cycles, it completely failed and displayed an error code. That’s right: a brand-new machine that cost a premium is now a giant, useless hunk of metal wasting space in a small apartment. Trying to get support from the manufacturer, Hamilton Beach. has been a nightmare. It doesn't matter if you email or call. Every phone call leads to another runaround: endless requests for the serial number (which, of course, is located on the back of a massive, very heavy, installed appliance). Moving it to access the numbers is nearly impossible without professional help—and yet, that’s the only way they’ll even pretend to help. The customer service agents respond to emails only every 24 to 48 hours, with zero accountability or urgency, usually to ask for, yet another piece of information (most recently they wanted photos of every angle of the back and now the SIDES of the machine). Instead of honoring the fact that this is a defective product, practically unused, they’re putting all the burden back on me to jump through hoops for basic service. A washer/dryer should last years, not four cycles. This brand clearly doesn’t stand behind its products, and it’s shocking that something sold as “new” is this unreliable. Save yourself the money, frustration, and lost square footage—buy literally any other brand.

Great appliance if the factory would ship it not broken.
The first one we ordered was beat to hell. We ordered a replacement, and they expect us to take the original washer back to the UPS store for shipment which is nearly impossible. The second one came today and the water drain valve was bent so much that it leaks on the floor. Now I have to figure out how to navigate through Amazon to have another one replaced. So frustrating **update, we received the third one and it bounced so much it put a hole in my wall! Now I’m dealing with RCA directly but what a pain!! If this machine would arrive like it should, it would be a great machine. But so far 3 out of 3 suck, I have a hole in my wall, and my front porch now has three broken washers on it. I have none. But I have plenty of laundry I should be able to wash. But can’t. I wouldn’t suggest ordering from Amazon. The return process alone is a nightmare.
