Good paper.
This is a good quality paper. It has a mild texture, works very well with watercolors, gouache and graphite.

Finally found a favorite watercolor sketchbook!
This is a great sketchbook for use with watercolor! I really wish I could find something in between the standard 5.5x8.5 and 9x12 that seems to be common for watercolor. A 7x10 would be perfect for me. However, this book exceeded expectations! I ordered this at the same time as another with the same dimensions and was surprised at first to see this one is bigger. I realized that Canson measures these pages based on the perforation line. If you were to tear them out the size listed (5.5x8.5) is what they would be after removing them. There's probably an extra inch or so on the left side where the spiral is. The other sketchbook I got measures the paper literally - meaning the spiral is eating into the listed size so you don't even that that full size for painting space. Other than being happily surprised about the size, I'm really impressed with the paper. It's nice and thick and hasn't buckled with light to medium use of water. Both regular brushes and water brushes work well as do the variety of paints I've tried. It's pretty textured, which I often enjoy, but I do wish they'd offer a hot pressed variety of this book just so I could pick and choose based on what I'm working on. That's not a flaw with this book, though, and this exceeds all my expectations. I also wish it had more pages, but I'll settle for buying new ones more often because this is just that good!

Great Quality Paper, but the 5.5"x8.5" Pad Is A Bit Small. Make Sure You Get the Size You Want!
We're watercoloring novices who purchased this pad to facilitate all the painting we've been doing while social distancing, and we're generally very pleased with it! Here are the highlights: *QUALITY: The paper quality is excellent. The pages are very thick and painting from one sheet don't smear onto other sheets. In fact, to make the notebook last longer, we've found that we can paint on both sides of each sheet after the first side has fully dried. No complaints about the paper itself! *SIZE: We bought the 5.5"x8.5" pad, and we were a little bit surprised and disappointed by how small the notebook and its pages were. Each page is about the size of my outstretched hand (see photo), which doesn't leave much space for larger paintings that we might want to hang up. Also, because of the relatively large gap between the notebook's spiral binding and the perforated edge (see photo), the paper becomes even smaller than 5.5" (per my own measurements, it's closer to 5.33" instead). I can't complain too much about the size since it does almost match what I ordered, but I do wish I had sat down and measured out the space on a piece of paper beforehand so I knew what I was getting into. Overall, my impression of this notebook is that it's high-quality, but small, paper. Next time I order watercolor paper, I plan to stick with this brand but get a larger notebook. Happy painting!

Gift
I didn't paint on it myself, but I have painted on quality watercolor paper and this paper also seems to be of good quality. Almost wish I got a second for myself. I love the size of this pad of paper. Specifically wanted a smaller pad for a gift for someone starting to dabble in watercolors. All looks really good, no issues. I feel good about giving this paper as a gift.

Good for sketching/watercolor
Good value for price. I like to keep it close for attempting to do watercolor. I am an amateur artist, but I find that it has served my needs.

I've used several different brands of high quality watercolour paper, and this is just the best. It will even take a certain amount of scrubbing before pilling. And it has really high water-absorbency which grants you more time to work wet on wet. Now I've discovered this French high quality paper (made from cotton fibres), I won't be buying any other brand. It comes in a pad that you pull off sheets to paint on, mask-taped to a support, and also a ring-bound pad which you can paint onto directly then remove later, or just keep as a collection on the pad. (They even do a small pad (5.5 x 8.5) for watercolour sketching/plein aire, and it's ring-bound so it opens fully!) They do several sizes , btw., not just these two.

Watercolor paper is so tough to choose for me. With brands being so different it's almost become a personal style preference on which paper to use. Not many reputable companies make portable affordable options like this. It's a great value so I'm not worried about "wasting my paper" and it's portable enough to grab-n-paint so that I can keep myself motivated to paint without having to pull out my grand watercolor set-up and make a huge mess while doing so. It's not Arches, there is a limit to how many layers you can do before it starts to get finicky with you - but it's also not some cheap paper that will just wrinkle up as soon as you put a decent wash on it. It takes pen ink very nicely and the paint color remains nice once dry. If you're not planning a project with 10+ layer effects, or plan to use it as a practice sketchbook then this is my go-to paper for value and consistency. I also love that spiral sketchbooks lay flat, and I totally use the backs of the paper for color testing or thumbnailing.

Papel de celulose, mas de fabricação mould made. Resiste bem a técnica wet on wet e correções. Excelente papel, superior ao Montval tradicional e consegui comprar na promoção com valor similar ao tradicional.
