I frequently burn food in pots and pans. After soaking, I scrub with various materials: Barkeeper's Friend, bicarbonate of soda, scrubbie, steel wool, and sometimes even sandpaper. Worst is toaster oven pans for which I use sandpaper. This carborundum sponge is better than a scrubbie but not as good as steel wool.

These work like a miracle. They don't scratch everything up while cleaning. Seem very durable. Have cleaned several things and still only used one and it's still working great

If you think you are going to wipe the surface once and have build up disappear like magic, think again. Does it make cleaning up buildup easier, yes-with reservation. The first pan bottom that wasn't any where near as bad as videos show, it worked well. Used with Dawn AND elbow grease!!! it did a good job. However as i moved on, the effectiveness diminished. The emery effect seemed to wear off. The sponge did not disintigrate just didn't seem to have as much omph. I'm letting the sponge dry to see if it that helps. Another thing I noticed was the sponge is more rigid than a regular sponge so getting into crevices or over rounded edges is a bit more difficult. In fairness I did not cut it into smaller pieces to see if that would help. You could do the same thing with a regular sponge and lots of abrasive cleaser but these sponges do hold up better then a regular cellulose sponge and I'd rather have my hands in just dish soap than cleanser.

I have linoleum tiles in my kitchen..and had what I believe is a stain (may be rust) for a long time. I tried bar keeper’s friend with a rag and then magic eraser along it; it helped a bit but most of the stain was still intact. I then remembered I had these emery sponges and the stain is gone!!! Be careful using it though; my tiles are a mix of cream, light pink, light gray etc and I think the sponge may have scratched it a bit but it’s barely noticeable. However, it may be more noticeable if the tiles were just one color. I’m just so happy the stain is gone 😭

These people are selling sanding papers !!! Not a sponge !!!! I tried on my stove top only a little bit. Look how it’s scratched. Permanently!!!! Who’s gonna pay for the damage ? These cheap sponge caused so much damage to my cookware too. The baking pan was immediately scratched to the bone. !!!! This is intolerable. It’s so strong that it’s a complete sanding process. Wth did I buy? I want refund

Like how they get all of that brownish color on them from using them? It doesn't like to wash off either. This takes care of that problem. After a bit of scrubbing, they will look like new. These are definitely worth getting and keeping on hand

It broke too soon I suggest you buy sandpaper if you want to use this. Not good on utensils but can do a little cleaning on bathroom tiles.
