This is the first rigid pet heating pad we have had and we are very impressed. K&H is the ONLY brand we trust for warming our outdoor rescues and we bought this to give additional heat in a larger shelter when the temps drop sub zero. I don’t doubt this could be used to lie on, but because it’s stiff, we chose it specifically to use vertically on one wall and could immediately feel the difference. It’s not too thick and it’s very durable. Nice small size adds extra heat with little power consumption. We love that it’s a nice warm neutral color, perfect pick!! The only way this could be better is if it were a two pack! Thank you K&H for continuing to deliver safe and trustworthy heat for our friends. We regularly tell others yours is THE brand to buy. You have our anppre and allegiance.

Man, I stressed about this purchase more than I should have. A stray cat chose my yard for the winter and I scrambled to improve my winter cat house (he utterly cannot mingle with my indoor cats, but I’m not letting him die out there in the snow). DOES IT WORK Yes. It’s not even hard to tell that it’s on. After I hastily assembled a new chicken-coop-style cat house, I drilled and filled a hole for this K&H Pet heating pad. I wired it up to my garage. In the video you’ll see that my 20’ Yellowjacket extension splitter cord is stretched to the max. Forgive me this oversight, please. Did it turn on? Yup. I sealed the electronic junctions inside snowproof, modular j-boxes and by the time I confirmed that power was flowing (I visually checked a breaker light) the pad was warm to the touch. When I opened the cat house roof, heat wafted up at me. These people saying they can’t feel it are nuts. This thing kicks, and I’m 100% sure it’s safe and the perfect temp and all that jazz but you should know that it’s not just, like, lukewarm or whatever. I bought the smallest model, and this thing will probably melt snow beneath the elevated cat house floor. There’s zero chance my stray friend won’t notice the heat every day as I put his food bowl next to the heating pad’s wall. The warmth is abundantly clear if you put your hand within a foot of the cat house exterior. Unless something goes terribly wrong, I think our problem is solved. Good luck! Resulto una mala compra. El artefacto casi no calienta y cuando le pones la funda, el calor es tan debil que no traspasa la tela y mis gatos no les pareció atractivo.
