This is an excellent quality Jasmine Green Tea, at a fairl price. You can tell this came from a very good, organic garden, managed by people with expertise in crafting Jasmine Tea. To get the best out of this tea, as with most Jasmine, short steeps of 2 minutes or even under will give a wonderful sweet delicacy to the tea,, completely taming the slight astringent bitterness of the green tea. And the company is as good as the tea. The questions that I asked them about this tea were answered promptly, and with openness and a desire to help. They take pride in doing things right, and I'm eager to try other of their teas.

My favorite tea! Such an aromatic aroma of jasmine. High quality, curls of green tea leaves, not ground up bits. I've tried many brands and this is my favorite. I have it on subscription, it's so good. Tastes delicious. All my guests love it. This is loose tea, so I store it in mason jars to keep it fresh.

I've consumed two full pounds of Numi Organic Gunpowder Green tea before writing this review. I found this product to be flavorful and really appreciated the fact that it's organic. I'm not normally an "organic" type, but considering the amount of tea I was drinking, combined with the nature of tea being steeped leaves, I figured it's a smart safeguard. I do prefer the flavor of Twinings Gunpowder over the Numi Organic, but for the health safeguards and price per ounce differences, I was happy with Numi. I will admit that I noticed a difference in flavor between my first and second pounds of this tea. Given the number of variables in growing and processing tea, I'm not surprised, nor disappointed enough take a star away from my vote. HOWEVER, just prior to ordering my third pound of tea I stumbled into the Fluoride discussion by accident. Long story short, after about two weeks of research (both internet and books) I'm done with tea of any color. This is a personal decision and I won't try to sway anyone's opinions, but feel I owe the world's tea drinkers a free heads-up since someone extended the courtesy to me. I LOVE tea, and never imagined in a million years that I'd quit drinking it------------especially green, since it's loaded with polyphenols (antioxidants), and is therefore deemed "healthy" if Fluoride is taken out of the equation. So if you like a green tea, Numi Organic Gunpowder is a great value, excellent quality, and I would be drinking my third pound by now.

Product: Numi Organic Tea Gunpowder Green (16 oz) I've tried several other popular bulk brands of gunpowder tea from both China and Japan, and many of them brewed up too murky/dusty and/or oxidized to varying degrees. Loose perls almost always have a better flavor and longer shelf life than bagged versions (which are basically single servings of tea dust, often oxidized), however as in all things, there are many levels of quality and you generally get what you pay for. This particular brand of gunpowder tea is far above average, and offers a lot of bang for the buck: > Consistently fresh (not oxidized like many cheaper bulk varieties). > Air-proof packaging. > Nice tight 'perls', with minimal breakage and minimal tea dust. > Organically grown. It brews up a very clean clear pale chartreuse color (with only a trace of fine sediment), with a flavorful and gently herbaceous edge that's not too bitter (provided you dont brew it too long or too strong), and it can be enjoyed hot or cold, and with or without condiments. In my household, we mostly lean towards plain and unadorned, but sometimes switch to a little honey with either milk or lemon. Note: Although FAR less dusty than most, a small trace of fine sediment is unavoidable when brewing ALL loose teas, and this one is no exception. The small traces of sediment that appears in the bottom of the pitcher after straining is normal and doesnt affect flavor. However, if you're a stickler for pristine appearance (say, for a dinner party), you can easily run the strained tea though a paper coffee filter to obtain a perfectly clear appearance. Recommended. Brewing instructions (for 1/2 gal): If I'm brewing several days worth just for myself, I'll fill a 3 qt stainless steel sauce pan with just over 2 qts water, heat it to 180F on my induction plate (about 6-7 mins), turn off the heat, then add 1/4 cup of tea pearls and let it steep for exactly 3 mins. Then I'll pour it though a small fine mesh conical strainer into a pyrex pitcher and refrigerate it for up to a week. Anytime I want some, I'll pour it straight from the fridge and drink it straight (cold) or briefly reheat it to tepid in a microwave safe mug.

Health benefits and seal ability

I'm not much of a tea drinker (OK, I hate most teas), but I got hooked on Chinese restaurant tea (mostly black tea, which I have to avoid because they're not good if you get kidney stones) and searched for something close enough to satisfy me. Numi Tea is a great tea vendor, and I love their Jasmine Green Tea. The Jasmine Pearls are a step up, and I indulge in them once or twice a week as the Pearls are a bit more expensive. Numi avoids pesticides and microplastics, and they're reasonably priced compared to other high end tea purveyors. I do recommend them.

Numi is one of my favourite tea brands. I love their Numi Organic Moroccan Mint. I used to buy the non bulk version, pre-packaged in tea bags. This bulk bag is enormous and it will last for a very long time. The bag is 16 ounces. It's "made from pure, 100% natural and Organic Certified Moroccan "Nana" mint. Certified Organic, Kosher and Halal. Our Moroccan mint has a bright vibrant flavor that tastes like a fresh picked leaf. Completely pure and natural, its refreshing spear-minty taste is a soothing all-day or after-dinner delight." There are no other ingredients, just pure organic Moroccan "Nana" mint. This is a herbal tea, I can enjoy this anytime. I usually like to have a cup of herbal tea after dinner. Moroccan mint is great for digestion. This mint tea is not very minty though. The mint is very subtle and not strong like peppermint, the taste is actually quite sweet. The loose leaf is very tiny in size, so you need a pretty good mesh tea ball infuser. Numi's pricing is a bit higher but you are buying a trustworthy premium product. If you're an avid tea drinker, I would highly recommend buying bulk.

I love this tea. The flavor and the fragrance are amazing - probably the best Jasmine green tea I've ever had. And it's not only my opinion, all my guests agree! Will definitely buy it again.

I had been using spearmint tea bags 2x daily for the reduction of hormonal acne. After multiple times repurchasing 16 bags for $5 from my local grocery store, I realized there had to be a more cost effective alternative. I searched Amazon and came across this. 1 pound of loose leaf spearmint tea, I couldn’t beat the price! When it arrived I was amazed at the size of the bag! It was easily twice as big as I had expected in my head. This will last me ages! I brew a full teapot, use a loose leaf steeper ball full of this tea, and then transfer the tea to a pitcher and store in the fridge. This is a much easier and more convenient way for me to ensure I drink 2 cups per day. I have seen a significant reduction in my hormonal acne since beginning this regime. It’s been close to 2 months so far. The tea tastes delicious, light, very slightly minty. I often mix it with a small amount of fresh squeezed lemonade for an easy and refreshing Spearmint Tea Lemonade! Highly recommend purchasing this large bag of spearmint tea if you’ve been using it for hormonal acne - it’s definitely the best bang for your buck! Or if you just can’t get enough spearmint tea, this is a delicious option and I think I enjoy it more than the expensive organic spearmint tea bags I was getting at the grocery store! 10/10

My husbands mule has to take medications daily for hypothyroidism. She could detect it and refused it for over a month no matter how I tried to disguise it with things like molasses, sweet feed, shredded apple and carrot etc. I was so frustrated. I finally had a brain storm and thought I would try mint leaves. Bingo! It works, I top dress it with about a tablespoon of the loose leaves and she gobbles it down with no hesitation. I am especially happy because it is carbonated free and that is important for heath. As soon as it's back in stock I'll be purchasing another 1 lb bag so I don't run out. (\_/)🐴
