I think that wearing cleats during treacherous weather is a very smart thing to do!! Many falls can be prevented, and if you are‘of a certain age’ bones do not heal so quickly, so it’s even more important. That being said, these cleats, while relatively easyto put right over ones shoe or boot, also SLIP OFF if not placed tightly enough or far enough down the front of the foot. Thereare cleats that stretch over the entire foot (shoe/boot), and I would greatly recommend them over this ‘easy slip off’ cleat.

There are very easy to put on and easy to walk in. The strap with Velcro is too long, it slipped off my shoes, so I stitched a tuck in the strap to make it shorter. These aren't for ice climbing in the mountains but they're perfect for sidewalks and parking lots in town. I previously had yak trax with the spring/coil zig zag and found them to be very unsafe on linoleum, tile and wood floors. They did not mark the floors but it was like wearing roller skates. As they, the yak trax, were difficult to put on shoes or boots, (although very secure once on) I found myself taking my shoes or boots off when I went into a store and doing my shopping in stocking feet. Then an end of one of the spring/coils came loose and caught in carpeting - like what's found at building entrances in the winter - and I went flying, crashed into the glass door and then to the floor. Accomplishing exactly what I had bought the yak trax to avoid. I don't anticipate that happening with these ice cleats/crampons.

I have trouble keeping these on my shoes. I much prefer the kind that cover the entire bottom of your shoe, however these are great if you are wearing dress shoes and only having to walk short distances, then remove them when you get inside.

didn't use enough to rate durability. much simpler to install & remove than big ones, but less traction too. handy to have in house or cars & cheap enough to get a few if you live in cold climate.

Fast, easy to put on, works over any kind of shoe. Very large men's boots might need longer strap. Heavy people wearing them on hard surfaces like cement will eventually cause the little spikes to fold.

Terrible product --does not stay on securely! Both fell off immediately and would not recommend!! Mine were lost in the ice/snow due to falling off while walking to my car. Never to be found!

Not truly adequate but I used them this moroning to walk on an icy sidewalk and they helped. Get a bigger set!

got me through this new england winter without a fall. wish I had them last winter. still recovering from a fall down icy stairs . if ice, and snow are in your area get them before next winter comes.
