I'm a software developer and really needed a second display that was portable. This is a great portable monitor for this price point. It's definitely not the cheapest out there, but it compensates with its good build quality, colors, brightness and great warranty (just make sure to buy it from Amazon or ASUS as the retailer to get the 3 year warranty!).I also like that it can be attached to a stand that can make it like a regular monitor, which helps with keeping a good posture. The stand for the monitor in the attached picture was bought separately, but it is worth mentioning that this monitor can be used that way too.

Amazing 2nd monitor, I've travelled so much with it to use it as a 2nd monitor....as well as used it as a 3rd monitor in my home set up. It's powered from the computer, so no other power source needed. It's mostly screen with a half inch perimeter...The only thing I would improve is to give it a better mounting capability if it is to be used as a permanent fixture. But for travel, it's perfect. The travel sleeve case turns into its stand and it works just fantastically. When Looking at the screen, the USB attachment port is on the left. and it attaches USB to your computer, so you'll need to have usb ports available.

Pretty impressed with this out of the box. Good size, good brightness, good picture, light weight. The mounting thread is money as you can prop it on a mini-tripod.NOTE ON GETTING FULL BRIGHTNESS: Quirk i noticed is you won't get the full 500 nits if you're connecting to laptop via USB-C, even with the display simultaneously plugged into a wall charger. At least with my Macbook, the only way to get full brightness was connecting via HDMI (For my Macbook M1 that meant using USB-C-to-HDMI cable). Apparently when it's plugged into USB-C it prioritizes that as the power source instead of the wall charger, which isn't enough juice to go full brightness, but with HDMI connection it will use the charger as power source and go into full power mode.

Upgraded to this from a non-name brand in order to get better picture quality and I am not disappointed. Great colour reproduction and the addition of 120Hz makes all the difference.Build quality is great, the OSD has and the features you could want and the provided case does the job.The only thing it is missing is power pass-through on the USB-C ports, which makes difficult to use with my steam deck. I have to choose between a single cable set up with no charging or a complicated mess of dongles and cables for longer play sessions.

UPDATE - It stopped working after 2 days!!!!!!! I uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers, restarted my computer and tried it on another computer and still nothing. Extremely disappointed, was really excited to give this monitor some use.I purchased the MB165B, I know there are a few models under this listing so I want to make that clear.Pros:-light and portable-carrying case doubles as a stand-gets power AND video through a single usb cable (main reason i got this model)-was easy to set up, just install the drivers then its plug and play.Cons:-not 1080p (not big deal breaker for me)-LED screen is the main con, the viewing angle needs to be perfect or else the contrasts become distorted. While using the monitor in the landscape position for the most part I had no issues but when I tried to use it in portrait mode no matter how I set up the screen the contrast was off and would bother me.Conclusion: I needed a cheap screen for when I travel and wanted it to be power and image over a single cable. This meets that criteria and although there are a few other monitors that claim to be power and video over a single cable around the same price point I returned them all because none of them actually worked without 2 cables, 1 for power and 1 for image. So the MB165B and the AOC e1659Fwu which seems to have the same panel were my 2 options, I ultimately chose the Asus screen since it was lighter and came with a case. If you was a cheap monitor that only needs a single usb cable and is portable, get this, if you dont care to have 2 cables, 1 for power and 1 for video there are many IPS 1080p monitors for around the same price on amazon. 4 stars for the portrait mode being unusable for me.
