damaged before I got them...
This must have been B-Stock. There was broken glue globuals and cover tabs floating loose inside 6 of 8 lights. There wasn't any damage to the external or product box....I sent them back to American DJ. They really wanted see these.

good lights, good price, but there are better out there

Not ready to daisy chain "out of the box".
The units work as expected so far (tested in my garage before I hang them where I want). The white isn't perfect, which is hard to expect from LED pars in this price range. There is a nice array of pre-set colors available on one of the DMX channels, which will be useful. Reason for 3 stars? because I purposely bought this as a set... they include 7 short ("jumper") DMX cables to connect the units in one chain... those work well... but the power cables they send are IEC on one side, and Edison on the other - which means they can't be daisy chained right out of the bag! You "CAN" daisy chain them, but the power cables are not included for that purpose. The description for this is a little misleading. I contacted ADJ thinking there was a mistake; but though they responded quickly: "no - not a mistake". They suggested I buy their IEC jumpers for $6.89 each. 7 of them which would have cost nearly $50! Of course, putting them on the cables in the first place wouldn't have cost more than $2 (they would take the place of edison plugs after all). I found more reasonably priced adapters through another source (too expensive on Amazon) and I will be weary of purchasing other ADJ items. Photos explain this perhaps better, so I'll attach them. This delayed me installing the units for about 10 days. I only plan on using them with DMX; so I don't know how the sound sensitivity goes. Changing the settings (DMX channel, type of control) on the unit is a little confusing, but not bad.

Using them for small theater wash and wish they had ...
Using them for small theater wash and wish they had wider beam spread. They also do this strange flicker/strobe thing when they dim in and out that I can't get rid of.
