Lykus HC-3810 Waterproof Hard Case with Customisable Foam Insert, Interior Size 38x28x13.5 cm, Suitable for Camera, Lens, Drone, mic, Flashlight, Telescope, Action cam, Electronics, Tools, and More

This is about the 5th or 6th Lycus hard case I have bought, this is the HC-3810 and suits my new DJI Mini 4 Pro perfectly. There is a DJI dedicated hard case which I have for my Mini 3 Pro but the contents go a bit busy with accessories so the one is bigger and pluckable , good and deep, with room for a few more extras. To be fair this wins over the dedicated drone case they do as that one is pre-moulded cutouts but the HC-3810 as shown simply plucks out to my desired shape and the insert plucking foam layers can be bought separately.Very tough case and is 100% waterproof as they say, the push and lift catches are super strong and lock in place very firmly. They make great seats too if you need a time out and also a small hop up if needed.I cant fault any of the Lycus cases so dont go elsewhere, its all here .You can see the case on the left is the dedicated DJI Mini case which is great but my Mini 3 Pro is a little cramped and not a lot of room for extra bits n bobs. The 3810 on the right is still a good size for light travel and my Mini 4 Pro has a bit more room for some extra bits n bobs.Both are great but if like me you add stuff as time goes by its good to have some wriggle room.

A very sturdy case which I am using to hold a Micro Four Thirds kit of Lumix GX9 and 5 lenses.I particularly like the safety catch design of the latches which prevents any accidental opening of the case. The foam lining comes in two thicknesses so you can customise the depth of the recess. Outer shell is rigid, doesn't seem to scratch easily and maintains a good waterproof seal. There is a manual pressure relief port - to be honest I haven't needed this. Possible downside is that there is no provision to add a carrying strap.The carrying handle is rubber-coated for excellent and comfortable grip.Competitive price for this level of quality and I can highly recommend this case.

The case is excellent. My only issue is the foam insert you can take out is too long. If you have a small item you wish to place on the top of the foam, it just falls to the bottom. If the foam was separated into cubes, rather than rectangles it would be much better for customizing.

To be honest, not a lot of price difference between this and more recognisable brands, but then again there's virtually no noticeable quality difference either - at least not when new.I read other reviews before buying and noted those that mentioned it not standing properly on it's end and have to say it hasn't been my experience.Pick and pluck foam is as good as any others I've used and seems to offer decent stability and protection. I own a very busy AV business and use a lot of these hard cases and pro flight cases so it will be tested to within an inch of its life. I was so impressed initially that I've ordered several more of them so we'll see how they go and remembering that they house some expensive equipment. This isn't an area I like to cut costs on, but if they perform like their big brand counterparts, then why not!!The locks are simple and tight and I actually like the feature of pushing and opening rather than fighting to snap open. Again time will tell how these last out on the road with constant use (and I do mean constant as for some it'll be almost daily use).Note: The first one I got is used to hold 8 x shotgun microphones. It fell out of the back of the van second day out (really not recommended) and my heart nearly stopped, but thankfully all survived without issues - there were only 2 mics in it at the time though.If there are any issues, I'll update this review, but hopefully it'll be long term so won't affect a recommendation.

Likes:1. Price - much cheaper than the high end cases.2. Size - on Amazon they list the external and internal measurements for each size of case. If you take the time to read this you will buy the right size case. Easy. But do remember you do not want the to use the last cm of the internal sizes otherwise you will have no side padding.3. Foam is ok quality and can be cut or torn at the preformed lines. It is easier than it looks and there is a video telling you how.4. The case will stand on its spine with the handle facing upwards, not all budget cases will an this WILL drive you insane !5. Catches have a double lock, you need to press in the middle to open them. In theory knocking the case will not cause it to open.Improvements:1. I will add a few small bits of rubber to the base so it sits softly on the table. It will just make it sit better when loading, but being fair the more expensive case do not have this feature an I am just being pedantic.Dislikes:None (considering the price)Remember this is not a £500 or £1,000 case, but for normal use I think they are excellent value. If you are looking to carry a £25,000 Telephoto lens then buy a high end case, for the average user these are a good choice an better value for money than similarly priced cases.

very pleased with quality and value for money

Case is extremely well made and robust, I own a few higher priced cases and this one matches in build quality, the foam provided it very high quality as opposed to the loose foam in some of the cheaper modes. I really like the push button on the latches , that’s a feature seen on much higher end cases and is great to see on a case at this price. I bought my case to house graded tcg cards and it will be perfect for that. The size is exactly as described which is great.

Rispetto a valigette di analoga dimensione ma di alcune altre marche, questa mi pare la migliore tra quelle da me provate, sia per la gomma interna ad alta densità e sia e soprattutto per la robustezza della plastica del guscio e la sua fattura in generale. Se la trovate con le misure che fanno al caso vostro allora scegliete questa marca, non ve ne pentirete sicuramente.

Valise de très grande qualité, excellente pour deux camescopes (Pansonic HC-VXF11 et JVC GZ RY980) + Une Osmo pocket et tous leurs accessoires pour chaque appareil.
