Know The Actual Purpose For These!!!
Know The Actual Purpose For These!!!(Long Rant Then My Review)I've seen so many reviews about these that say "they're too quiet" or "not loud enough"Well, it is true that these are quiet. That's for a reason! These are for protecting your hearing! Why do you buy ear protection? To protect your ears by lowering the noise levels of your surroundings in a work or loud environment. Right? So why would you use ear protection to lower the noise levels and then want to crank your music back up to those unsafe levels!?!People think that earbuds are completely safe and can't damage hearing. WRONG! They may not be loud, but they are pushing the sound waves directly into your ear. This allows them to produce unsafe sound levels just like most other audio devices. All that being said, yes these are quieter than most other earbuds, but that is for a reason. These are hearing protection! If you want loud earbuds look at ones that are just that, EARBUDS! NOT hearing protection. You put these in and they cut the ambient sound levels by 22dB and give you the convenience of being able to listen to music or whatever. Again, why cut the sound levels by that 22dB then expect to be able to bring your music back up past that level? At that point you are subjecting your ears to the same damage as if you were to not wear them at all! These are for the job and for people doing work! Now for my review of these when used for their actual intended purpose. If you're tired of using plain old ear plugs when working in a loud environment and are tired of hearing your own breathing, heartbeat etc, check these out.I use mine for lawn work, metal fab, wood working and other loud activities. These have worked great so far. They do a great job at cutting down the sound from my large mower (John Deere X758) my table saw, grinders and other tools. They do have very good sound quality even at the lower volume level they produce. I can clearly hear all my music, but as said before, you can't blast these things.Take some time to try out the difference foam earplugs/earpieces to find the best fit. Squish them down with your fingers them push them into your ears and hold them there while the foam re-expands. Do this with the earplug/earpiece attached to the unit, don't just shove the foam plug in your ear by itself... This will help them completely or nearly completely seal in the ear. Try them without any loud noise and you'll hear the sound quality these really have. They do come with 3 sets of foam earplugs/earpieces (these are for protection) They also come with 3 pairs of regular silicone earpieces (these can be used just for listening, not for protection)The battery life is great. I've gotten over 9 hours out of these once or twice, but on average 6-7. The case they come with is very nice. It also charges up and can recharge the earbuds about 3 times. You can actually get some good distance with these. My old ear protection was the 3M Worktunes and I could only get 10-15 feet away from my phone at best (this was fine for me though) With these Isotunes I can get over 30 feet away sometimes, this seems to be dependent on the streaming device being used. The "noise canceling microphone" used for phone calls is not very good though. Pretty bad actually, so if you need these for making calls while mowing the lawn or running a grinder... Not so good. I don't take calls while I'm working so this was of no issue for me.Take some time to read the very basic manual to figure out the buttons. Yes the have control buttons. The whole center section of these is a button, the left has its own function controls and the right as well. Just sit down with the manual and try out these buttons and functions BEFORE trying to use them while working. This is not a safety issue, more of a tip to keep you from getting frustrated with them. It took me less than 15 minutes and I had all the controls figured out.Overall these have been working great.Just know what these are actually supposed to be used for and you'll be happy with them.

Work as advertised
These things work great! My only issue is that one of the small foam ear pieces fully re-expands the moment you let go of it, rather than staying compressed long enough to insert it in your ear. But I can manage to get that earbud in my ear with a little extra work and pressure. But that problem is to be expected occasionally with that style of ear plug. I’ll buy a replacement set when these ones wear out. My only other complaint is the edges on the plastic that sit right by the ear canal should be slightly rounded. As they are, they kind of dig into the ear a little bit. Nothing that slightly pulling out on the ear bud just a little bit doesn’t fix. I tried these at work with both the foam and silicone ear bud covers. With the foam ones, I couldn’t even hear my propane powered forklift when driving it. For obvious reasons, that’s a bit of a problem, so I switched to the silicone covers, and I could just barely hear the forklift.Even though the silicone buds aren’t rated for noise reduction, they still do a fantastic job doing it. I can’t hear people talking to me with either ear bud cover, but for me that’s not a problem. As for the music volume, it’s perfect! Some songs I even had to turn the volume down. The first thing I did after linking them to my phone was start my music and crank the volume up to its limit. 85 decibels is absolutely perfect. Plenty loud to clearly hear the music, but not so loud that your ears drums pulse with it.I think the people who say they’re not loud enough are either nearly deaf, or they’re putting the ear buds in wrong. Yes, you can insert hearing protection ear plugs wrong. If you’re one of these people saying they are not loud enough, and there’s nothing wrong with your hearing, you might want to learn how to properly insert ear plugs. It will make a world of difference. The first time I inserted them, I didn’t get the right ear quite right, and it started falling out. This is the one that has the faulty foam. When that happened, I could barely hear the music, and background noise became almost clear. After reinserting it correctly so it wouldn’t fall out, everything worked exactly as it was supposed to.All-in-all, these are the best $120 I’ve spent. When they inevitably wear out in the future, I will most definitely be buying another set.

90% perfect
I bought these after Stumpy Nubs recommended them. I have zero regrets. I’m a carpenter by trade, so my everyday environment is quite noisy. As ear protection, these are perfect and the sound quality of music/podcasts is great. Full bodied sounds, not too high or low. They are plenty loud enough, I never have trouble hearing my music no matter what tool I’m using and there’s peace of mind in knowing that I can’t turn these up so loud that they’ll further damage my hearing. Whenever I take calls, it couldn’t be more convenient to continue working while I have a conversation but here’s the downside: you can’t work. The caller on the other end will not be able to hear/understand you and they’ll Complain that the noise is unbearably loud. What’s worse, if you’re in a bathroom or small room it seems that the reverberation/echos of your voice make it so the caller can’t understand you. They say they can hear me, but they can’t understand anything I’m saying. I thought MAYBE I just had a defective pair, so I sent them back and got a replacement but the issues staid the same. It’s also worth noting that the customer service is 5 star. They really are great. So in conclusion, these were worth every penny, but I really wish they worked better on phone calls. More often than not I have to switch over to using my phone because my caller cannot understand anything I’m saying if I use the ear buds to talk through.

Great for working
I bought ISOtunes Free Wireless Bluetooth Ear Plugs (NRR 22) after seeing Kyle from RR Building (youtube chanel) use them. They're great. I do a lot of handyman work which requires lawn mowers, power saws, nail guns and other noisy tools. The ISO Tunes are really great. Comfortable and long lived charge. I'm really impressed and will only use my ear muffs for chain sawing and really loud work.
