Make Every Man Want You: How to Be So Irresistible You'll Barely Keep from Dating Yourself! Paperback – April 25, 2008

I've probably editted this review too many times to count (over the span of almost a year). I've re-read the book again. I'm increasing the # of stars to 5. Any book that attracts me enough and has enough insight that to read again and again and again deserves five stars from me.The main focus of this book is about teaching you how to truly live in the present moment. How to treat each moment as if it really counts. Undeniably, anyone who is able to truly be themselves and treat everything and everyone like they matter al the time is attractive.The book is worth re-reading because everytime you read the book, you have a certain understanding you are able to take away and test. After a while, you've been testing the one or two things you took away (or maybe you forgot and let it fall from memory) and you've now created a new mind-set. You're not the same person you were before. Therefore, when you read the book again, you'll pick up on something ELSE or understand a concept on a deeper level thanks to you doing the work and changing in the process.Every time I read this book, my understanding of what she is saying is deepened, even if I thought I "got it" the first time.People who are giving this book negative reviews are not in the right mindset to truly "get it". My suggestion to them is to actually DO at least one of the major concepts in the book for a few weeks, then re-read it.There are other books I have that are like this and sometimes I recommend them to friends. I've never had a friend read a book like this, and NOT be thankful for it after they actually DID something and re-read a bit of it.Arguably, this book would be better if the concepts were easier to understand. If it didn't REALLY require action or a certain mindset to make sense. So far, I've only read one book that was all three: insightful, but still fun AND easy to understand. That was Add More ING to Your Life by Gabby B. Books like that are rare to me. This book by Marie Forleo hits the most important 2 parts: insightful and fun to read. These two bits make for a great information product that is easy return to again and again.I encourage you to give this book a try and continue giving it a try for a very long time. It will change your life.This book is not a quick fix. It will not give you any special eye-lash fluttering techniques with a 90% success rate. This is a book that wants to change you FOR LIFE. That kind of change requires your commitment to practicing what you learn and continous learning. I recommend you continue learning by re-reading this book and any other book or program that emphasizes the importance of "presence" or "being present" or "feeling your physical sensation" (feeling your physical emotions and sensations is another form of being present). Be patient with yourself.And yes, I've had multiple men confess how irresistible they find me lately. I've broken up with my last relationship as I began to realize that it is not what I want. It was the first time I was the one to do the break up. I'm excited for meeting my Mr. Right. Why am I so optimistic? LIke I said, this takes continuous practice. If I have been able to get loving, fun men to fall for me after practicing this for a few months, I have no doubt Mr. Right will not be able to stay away much longer if I keep it up :)

I read a couple of bad reviews and I want to respond to them. I don't know Marie Forleo so I'm not gaining anything here, but I feel this is an amazing book. I read it some time ago and it stayed with me. That's saying a lot! As a self-help expert and addict, I have read all manner of books and formulas for improving our lives and getting what we want. As a coach, I've seen over and over that loving ourselves is essential. If you're looking for tricks - skip this book. It goes deeper that that. It goes to loving ourselves first. And unfortunately, people don't always get how big that is. People say over and over that they love themselves and frankly, most of the time its not as true as they think or want others to believe. Those who trivialize self-love are missing the very important point that who we are on the inside speaks for itself. Haven't you watched some people walk into a room and radiate such that others are drawn to them? Don't you want some of that? That's what this book teaches. If you try to manipulate others by using tricks, most people pick that up too. Start with yourself. This is well worth the read.

Don't let the title fool you. This book isn't so much about dating as it is about living your life to it's fullest! And isn't that normally when you meet someone wonderful you'd want in your life? There were many concepts in this book that I was already aware of, but I'm grateful to be reminded that I need to be living them more fully. I also had a few lightbulb moments about things I wasn't entirely aware that I was doing, or not doing that are probably affecting my dating life. Things like waiting to fully furnish & decorate my apartment after my divorce because I'm waiting for a proper home. Except that my divorce was 3 years ago! And this is my home *now*. This is it!! Here & now. Time to create the life I want now.I bought & read the book yesterday & I'm still processing it. I plan to read it again over the weekend & see what else strikes me. I only gave this book 4 stars because it really wasn't all about dating, and because so many of the concepts seemed to be pulled from other sources. Overall a good, inspiring, & motivating read. I already recommended that my BFF read it.

I have bought this book already 3 times. First one was for me and then my friends. This book is not giving you dating tips. It will makes you a better person and you will find your beauty which nobody will copy it. Marie's advice works for every relationships, love, work, social life. All human relationships! Thank you Marie for writing this book.

I am SO glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews of this book. It totally changed my life forever. It's not full of the worthless, typical tricks and hacks in every other dating book. This book challenges you to look at the mindset and vibe that you're unknowingly giving off that is not just repelling men, but repelling others as well!Despite what other reviewers have said, the advice in this book is easy to apply and, if you let it, will instantly change your life. I read it just 2 weeks ago and I feel like a new personMarie keeps it positive while dishing the tough love and advice that I have never read anywhere else despite having read many dating advice books. If you're not getting good results in your dating life, try a different approach from the tricks and hacks that others offer.If you want to continue saying things like, "There are no good guys left!" or "I just have bad luck with dating!", then move on, sister, and continue life as is.
