I'm using this whistle to train my dog to come on command. It appears well made, but does not come with a lanyard. I have to be careful using this whistle as it can be very loud if you don't. That can be a good thing if you are out in the country or are using it for protection. In my residential neighborhood, I don't want to disturb my neighbors late at night, so I just have to moderate how hard I blow. The whistle make a piercing sound, which gets my dogs attention instantly. So far, using treat rewards, she come almost immediately. As I wean her off the treats, I hope to make her reaction second nature. Very satisfied with purchase.

Just like my old dog whistle [they wear out where I bite the end after years of use] I do prefer this pealess design as it is easier on the ears. Sorry to see that is was Made in China though, I don't think my old one was. Oh well. FYI you can remove the pea if it is made of cork, use a sharp narrow knife blade to cut it into pieces through the slot. An ExActo knife works well.

This is my 1st attempt at dog whistle training. I always hated the way a pea style whistle sounded, and vibrated my lips so I got the pea free model after listening to sound clips on YouTube. My little dog who likes to wander ,and hunt more off leash is responding amazing to it! I give it 2 loud pips on the whistle , and his ears literally perk up and back he runs! I praise , and treat him well for responding. Thus far he responds almost every time without even calling his name just whistle noise only! He runs back with a purpose now. You don't lightly roll air into this. U have to make a short quick burst of air to make noise.

Purchased for dog training. Smaller than a regular whistle. You have to blow it exactly right to get a good clear sound. I would not purchase this one again when I need a new whistle.

I have purchased this whistle four times now. My rescue dog comes running in response to this whistle. All of these whistles give a nice clear calling sound. I have one in my office, one hanging by the door, and another in my pickup truck. I have used other dog whistles, but this is my first choice by far.

Don’t waste your money.

This whistle is crazy loud. There is a lot of background noise here in the city, and we have a huge yard, So the loud is good for us. Even when we go hiking in the woods, you can hear this whistle for about a mile. However, I try to hold it in one side of my mouth and cover that ear because the first time I used it I almost blew out my own eardrum.

It's loud and does what it's supposed to. Gets my dog's attention every time.

Easy to use. Tone is good for calling dogs back. It is not too shrill a sound.

Been using this for several months now. Works well for recall training.
