Works great, is adjustable for different size pie pans
These are great! They are adjustable which I like because I have different sizes of pie pans. The ring hooks on the bottom but the extra top hangs loose (see photo), which is not a show-stopper for me but seems like it could use a design modification. Still a 5-star for me. I'm not a paid Amazon influencer.

very helpful for preserving pie crust, easy to use and adjust
I recently bought these for my pie making. I have to bake my apple pie at 425 for 30 min before lowering the temp for another 40 minutes - and this crust shield is so helpful to preserve the crust without it coming out burned or uber dry! It was easy to use and did not adversely affect the way my pie edges baked overall. I added it about 10 minutes into baking, just to give the crust a good setting in the oven - then quickly looping this protector around the pie edge. It is a durable material, was easy to unfurl and wrap, and was adjustable. I had a couple inches left for using it on my 9" pie pan, so it would easily accomplish covering a larger pan. It cleaned well with hot water and a tad of soap. I keep it in a drawer, rolled up - easy to store. This is a helpful, handy gadget for pie bakers!

Somewhat Finicky to keep on the pie
We used this on a large pie, 9”+, with an Anchor hocking glass dish. It mostly fit around the crust, which was good, but came off several times during the final tests to see if the pumpkin pie was set (Poke test). Finished pie was a bit well done on the edges/crust, but we only put it on after the first 15 minutes of baking at. 425°F (Libby recipe). I think it will do fine to keep it from burning if it’s put on right when the pie goes in. The main issue is the tab, and each notch that it fits into: They are both small and the fit is rather loose, and when everything gets hot, good luck reattaching the two edges, especially inside the oven. Sliding it out to re-attach, and then sliding the pie back in ALSO knocked it loose. Several times. Very finicky in my opinion. I’m thinking there must be a good way to connect it or bind it so that it’ll stay, but that’s for a future pie. Overall, I think it did it’s job well, and it’s already better than the pies we made without an edge protector. But it’s tricky to use, and doesn’t stay put so well. And it gets really hot! Please be careful !

Fantastic product!
Well made. Very easy to use. Tabs make it easy to keep in place no matter the pie crust size. Works perfectly. I can’t believe I fought with foil when I could have done this and with perfect results every time.

it's what it said it was.
Item sipped quickly. Item as described. The item fell off the crust in the oven, allowing the crust to overcook. Probably my fault- upon further inspection, it may have some little lock together tab. might tr them again... a bit of foil would work just as well it seems.

HORRIBLE!!!!!
To start, the "ring" will not stay connected. Once you get it adjusted/set for your diameter of pie, the little slots to lock it together DO NOT WORK! If you are fortunate enough to get it to stay together long enough to get it into the oven, it falls off about 10 minutes in when it heats up and softens a bit. I thought that I would try these instead of the normal metal rings, STICK WITH THE METAL RINGS! In short these things are just absolutely useless and will just be thrown out, a true waste of money.

Terrific little tool for the pie baker. No scratching, no sticking to the dish and an adjustability to more or less baking that make so much sense. Red is so easy to see and light enough to handle easily.
