Best knives out there! So glad we bought them. This was a second set of steak knives to compliment the full set of knives we purchased about the same time. I was able to drill 2 small holes in the face of the other steak knife set. then screw in 2 small bolts and this one fits right on to the other one, mating it in a way, to make it look like it's all part of the original 14 piece set we have, so now we have 14 steak knives with the rest of the set!These knives will likely be the last we buy, they're really, really that good. Very well built, keep a nice edge. I'd highly recommend!

I would rate these as 5 stars for looks and build quality, but knock off one star because they have a serrated tip (that is not disclosed in either the product description or picture). That is a matter of personal preference, I suppose, and the majority of steak knives are serrated so perhaps I am in the minority. Steak knives are different from other knives due to the fact that they will be used on ceramic plates rather than a soft cutting board, which would dull a non-serrated knife more quickly. So there is a practical reason for serrated edges, but I prefer a knife that can easily be hand-sharpened. To each their own, just my preference.

They break and stain easily, I purchased 12 pcs set at costo and no issues, wife loved them so I bought the steak knife set staining and broken tips didnt drop it either.

We were looking for a set of new steak knives and these are perfect. They match the other Gunter Wihelm cutlery we already have and are just as sharp.

Nice looking set of knives that feel good when you hold them. Not too heavy, but heavy enough you realize you aren't holding something from WalMart.

Saw the knives at Costco. The sales representative was very impressive, possessing a great deal of product knowledge. We bought the set about two months later. The knives have been all they were made out to be. We are extremely satisfied with them.
