With the guide I can rapidly cut several pounds of dried biltong to the perfect thickness every cut in just a few minutes! Is incredibly sharp and feels sturdy, like a strong, precision medical instrument. Very sharp. Keep away from kids. It could easily chop fingers off and probably much more.

I'm always tasked with bringing the charcuterie board and I hand cut lots of meat. With this I was able to finish at breakneck speed. The suction kept the unit in place while I sliced away. It's very easy to use and the design is perfect. I highly recommend.

I bought this slicer to cut frozen meat into jerky slices. This slicer is perfect! Easy to adjust for 1/8 - 1/4 inch slices. Sturdy, well made, easy to use, easy to clean. Great product!

Works great for my main use of cutting homemade biltong. the only problems i have is having to disassemble the whole blade and guard to sharpen the blade, and the fact that the guard to decide thicknesses is just 2 bolts with a wider nut. My issue with the latter is its easy to have lopsided cuts; not a deal breaker but it does take a minute to set and test try a couple cuts

it arrived fast and packaged well with no defects. i wanted this to cut pepperoni stixs and summer sausage that i make. it works awesome for both what used to take hours now only a few minutes. if your looking for something that will cut quickly then this is what your looking for.

I love my new herb root slicer. Used it to cut up fresh horseradish root before grinding. It did a fabulous job. Then I used it ti cut up 10 lbs of ginger to make candied ginger. It saved me allot of time hand slicing and it was nice to have even pcs. UPDATE: My favorite kitchen tool! 1.31.21 I like to chip thawing venison to make cheese steak sandwiches. I had an electric sclicer, it was a real pain to clean up. I sold it saving myself lots of time ceaning the heavy thing. Last summer I found this herbal root slicer while looking for a way to cleanly slice my herb roots. Saw folks using it to slice jerkey or dried meats. Well let me tell you, I use this thing ALLOT. It cleans up in the sink. Has adjustable thickness, is manual but just as fast as electric. Sharp enough you can slice a bit of your thumb off and not notice it till it hurt. I used it to slice 12lbs of venison for jerkey last november. It was nice to have quiet so I could listen to music while I work. I keep it on my counter so it's handy when I need it.

There are lots of these on Amazon. I have 30 years as an executive chef and can say the quality is excellent and I am very happy with it. I highly recommend it.

Although it’s small, it gets the job done!

Es muy práctico, excelente filo, muy cómodo, la calidad de los materiales es muy buena; puedo cortar el queso muy fácilmente, el ate, ingredientes que con un cuchillo requiere mucha fuerza con éste cortador es muy fácil. solo me hubiese gustado un poco más larga la cuchilla; pero por todo lo anterior le doy cinco estrellas, lo compraría nuevamente. Felicidades!

Great product that saved a lot of time cutting meat snacks.

I use it as a biltong/ jerky cutter. It's cuts waver thin slices everytime. This is by far the best biltong cutter I ever owned.

We are a company that deals in wild foods, Boreal Wild Foods. This is a fantastic slicer and we will put it to good use this season. However, it would be also fantastic if there was a larger commercial model for some of those larger mushrooms we collect such as the Lobster and Pine Mushrooms (Matsutake)

Item is pretty lightweight. Works but wouldn’t use it on ingredients like lemongrass. Doesn’t cut that well. Updated June 27, 2025 Added star for the seller’s customer service. Seller reached out and offered prompt resolution.
