What can I say? It's just a science book lol, but yeah it's strong and all the pages are sturdy, and the book simplifies all the text making perfectly sense. I use this for my science class obviously, and I understand most of what the book tells. Although I do recommend you buy the specific "notebook" book that comes alongside this book, makes everything much easier and organizes all information, and helps with taking notes ^_^

Great!
We love Apologia Science, and this is just as expected.

Publisher offers MP3 for $14 as well
I was disappointed with the pricing of the digital version, but pleased to see that the publisher Apologia offers an MP3 download for a reasonable price. I prefer that coupled with the printed version.

Missing letters randomly in kindle edition
The book is great. However the kindle addition has random missing letters. It’s very annoying and if my student had to read it alone, he would be confused.

Overall good, but too wordy
We are using the book with the notebook, which I highly recommend. However, the text is very, very wordy. If your child struggles, it’s best to get the audio version to listen along. That helps my son a lot. Even I struggle to find the answer to questions because the explanations are in LONG PARAGRAPHS that go on and on. It can be frustrating. Terms are in a light blue color, and can be hard to spot. It would be better if terms were in boxes on the margin. The ANSWER KEY can be tough to decipher, because for instance, the question tells you to label a diagram and then does not reproduce the diagram in the key, but answers it in a paragraph form instead.

Um...
I love the science content. I am a follower of Christ, but I do not agree that there is no need to mention adaptive evolution, it is something that occurs, God made us that way....it's exciting! Some evidence just simply presents itself as fact, I don't like the parts where it says 'the belief of the scientist skews the research', yes, of course it does, but that's why we have double blind studies (in the case of experiments) and it's also why we have multiple people test the same hypotheses, to confirm and reconfirm data. Some things the church thinks stand in the way of proof of our Creator just don't, so far as I'm concerned. I do, however, believe that God's days are longer and ours are shorter, which explains how things happened over a period of time, what's known as 'Creative Evolution'. I don't, however, believe in species jumps.

Love this curriculum!
My kids and I just really enjoy this science curriculum. It is detailed without bogging them down with too much info. Perfect for middle school.
