Long lasting cameras
I have used these cameras now for the past five years. I have only replaced about three of them and I have eight . They last for a good bit of time.

My thorough review.
Welp, 1 month into ownership. There are 3 sub-categories to rate. I did actually contact tech support, and here are my thoughts:Tech support (category 1): My contacting them was for hard drive failure to format. Responsiveness 5/5, and helpfulness 5/5. Issue was resolved when I determined it was the aftermarket hard drive's problem, as it would not format through my PC as well. I replaced with another hard drive and it worked. Her name is Coco @ Zosi support, and I actually give her props for her assistance.Night Vision (category 2): Turns out 1 of the 4 cameras had a quality issue where its night vision would not work, and then eventually it would not power. But with the other 3 cameras, I found that the range is incredible. With any ambient light, the night vision is much further and clearer. Almost 5/5 rating, but due to the QC issue--which Coco is sending me a replacement camera, thanks--I rated it 4/5. (Maybe not the correct way to rate the Night Vision category, but there is not a quality/durability category. You decide.)I also have the Blink system XT2 and Blink Mini that I'm comparing to. And so the Zosi night vision is at least double the distance and quality, if not triple. Honestly the infrared on the Blink XT2 would not reach the end of my driveway, but the Zosi cameras will reach my neighbors backyard, across the street, almost 50 yards. (Albeit the Blink XT2 is complete wireless, and battery operated; form of power is a factor.)Motion Detection (category 3): Here's the kicker, Blink's system blows this out of the water. It's not that the Zosi cameras aren't detecting the motion timely, I actually see the "MD" signal on the monitor pretty quickly when motion comes into camera view; it's that when I set the DVR to record based on MD, I found that playback is 1-3 seconds late when the motion comes into camera view--sometimes the motion has already passed :(. I suspect this may be due to the HDD needing to spin up to begin writing. I think that, and I haven't tested this, a SSD will remedy this, but it gets real pricey for a high cap SSD.For comparison, the Blink Mini's playback begins before the moving image comes into camera view. Possibly due by design and the fact that it's cloud-based recording and not HDD.But because I bought a 4TB HDD, I just set the Zosi on 24/7 recording and this resolves the issue. I just use the MD feature as an alert on my phone, but the recording is 24/7 and I can always review based on timestamp. And at H265 codec, I've exceeded 1 mo of continuous recording so far with 4 cameras--albeit one camera short of recording eventually. More than adequate history.I rated MD category as 4/5.Overall rating: If not for the one camera issue, I would give overall 5/5. If out of 10 stars, I would rate 9/10, presently; so, 4/5 rating for Overall. My recommendations: If you have strong outdoor need and have lots of area to cover, I would highly recommend a DVR type system that's powered by wire, for the range. Pain and the butt to run the wiring, though. What made me choose the Zosi is that most DVR type systems I saw are still using H264 compression, which is not as efficient as it's successor H265.Zosi I give a thumbs up. Just some minor hiccups for me. This may not happen to you. Hope this helps.-Andrew

The mouse doesn’t function properly
So it’s basically just a live camera. The mouse control will not function as it shouldAnd has to be restarted ( manually plugged over and over) until the mouse icon shows on the finishing set up page. The whole security box needs an upgrade and after I reached out to Zosi all they did was send me a link on the internet for an external hard drive upgrade. All we own here are tablets and fire sticks. So I’m supposed to by an external hard drive and a computer just to upgrade the security hard drive???!I don’t understand why they’re selling security hard drives with old glitchy software…☹️☹️☹️☹️10-3-24Waste of money. Software needs updated through internet with a external hard drive ( not included)Most of the time (90%) you can’t even use the mouse as plugging into either one of the 2 usb options doesn’t even register. So basically just a camera system without the playback. When you can finally get past the set up menus, as the mouse will consistently fail to register in the usb. These are glitches in the software system that need to be updated before the system is sold, as none of the software needing updates was included in the product description.Going to have to finally just find a security DVR replacement, wasted enough time fooling around with this Zosi brand.

And we are LIVE
Overall, the ease of setup would be a 6 out of 10. The view angle is good and camera quality is 8 out of 10. The down side is the app and speed of loading the camera to view. Also, the DVR says “lost disk” and is not properly recording. Adjusting the camera is very easy. However the Phillips head for the vertical angle is not firm and feels unstable to get tightened properly. The voice/sound is difficult to control and set up feels clunky. I would not recommend this item as there is too much loss on quality for the price. If you just want basic cameras, this would be fine.

Great customer service
I ordered this system for a third time. No problems with the first two systems. The third had a problem with the DVR. It kept restarting. After contacting customer support and providing a few bits of information they had me do a download and try a few things. Nothing fixed the problem so they sent me a return UPS label and I sent back the DVR. After 6 days a replacement DVR arrived at my doorstep. The replacement DVR works great, just as it should. I extremely impressed with the response time and quality of communication from customer support. I would definitely recommend this product.
