An Honest Review
It's NOT bad and I honestly think that the hate is coming from political people that don't read comics and haven't read this one.If you have read a lot of X-titles over the years you have encountered stories like this, it's something of an X-Trope. They go out for fun in the sun and end up in a fight. The only real difference is that the art was done by a well respected fantasy artist and not a regular comic book artist, and that is fine and it looks great. The problem is it was a girls night out story so...politicsOtherwise it's still a well loved X-Trope with a Heavy Metal fantasy artist and really anything else is politics for the sake of politics by people that don't read comics

Great Work
The first story illustrated by Milo Manama (written by Claremont) is head and shoulders above the rest to me, but this is a good collection of “X-Women” centric tales. I’m not as much of a mainstream super hero comic fan. I like other projects such as Locke & Key, Birthright, Motor Crush, etc. so to me, this quirky collection is better than owning a giant saga of battle against someone like Apocalypse.

Interesting book.
The cover art is deceptive. There's one story with the good art in it. Others aren't done as well.

Fun, But Uneven, Collection of Comics
“X-Women” is an odd collection of comics to say the least. The main story is an odd tale from longtime X-Men writer Chris Claremont as he guides some of the female mutants of the X-Men on a strange adventure as they try to vacation. Milo Manara does a fine job leading the art team on this story even if there’s quite a bit of cheesecake and titillation. But the rest of the book simply isn’t at that level of quality. There is a fun story involving Dazzler, a dark tale featuring X-23 and a forgettable Cloak and Dagger story. Outside the Dazzler story which offers a nice blend of action with character development, these other additions do little for the book. If you can find this collection of comics at a good price, it’s worth picking up but it’s not a must have by any means, even for X-Men fans.

C'MON, GIVE IN ...
Stories range from good to pretty good, some humor. But, seriously, Milo Manera drawing the X-Women; how can any red-blooded, heterosexual male resist? Great idea, Marvel and thanks, Milo !!!
