VIDEO IS HOW THE WASHER WORKS/SOUNDS AFTER INSTALLING THE KIT I usually don't write reviews but this kit saved me from having to buy a new washer! I replaced the drive belt a month ago and thought I bought the right one. The washer made the worst noise while agitating (but would spin with no problem). Initially, we thought it was the transmission. After reviewing a number of YouTube videos we decided to try this kit first. We decided to make sure the kit came from Alliance. I couldn't believe the recently purchased belt as it was completely chewed up. Even though the seller listed that it could be used for the #38174 it definitely didn't work! This kit came sealed and stated "Genuine Parts" from Alliance Laundry Systems. #959P3. It took some time installing it but watching another YouTube video, I was able to install it myself (and I'm not a professional by any means!). The washer works great and even spins better than it did before (an extra perk). With all of that said, I would definitely recommend this product and will purchase from these sellers again if needed. (Hopefully not for a very long time though... ha!) Just for the record, I own a Speed Queen top loader Model AWN432SP111TW01.

My washer wouldn't spin fast enough to get rid of all the water on the spin cycle. After watching a YouTube video I increased the tension of the spring to get by and bought this kit for the repair that I knew was needed. The kid has everything you need including the bracket, new pulley ,belt, spring, everything you need. The YouTube video is especially helpful but I did have to loosen the motor more than the video said. Took about an hour and a half but I'm kind of slow. Saved me a ton of money. I did remove the pulley and applied some light grease to the bearing to make it last longer but I'm not sure that's necessary. Spin cycle goes very fast now with normal spring tension. I definitely recommend watching a YouTube video.

If you are moderately mechanically inclined, you can do this! My Speedqueen washer started smelling like burnt rubber and when i took the front panel off, I could see black dust collecting underneath the pully. I am not going to lie, changing this out was a tiny bit of a pain in the butt, but it really was not hard to do. Took me about a half hour or so to get it done and now the washer is working perfectly.

Fixed my Speed Queen washer, hubby just looking at YouTube videos was able to remove old part and install this part. Solved the problem with my washer!
