I picked up TAZAH Sahlab Powder Mix to recreate the creamy, dreamy texture of Syrian ice cream, known locally as 'Éma’a', at home and was pleasantly surprised by its performance. Not only did the powder significantly enhance the ice cream's texture, adding a subtle and distinctive flavor that improved the overall taste, but it also proved to be cost-effective due to the small amount needed to achieve the desired effect. However, it's worth noting that while the Sahlab powder mix is excellent for improving texture and flavor, perfecting the 'aee ma' consistency also relies on the right balance of other ingredients and the freezing process, requiring some trial and error to master.

This product has nothing in common with the consistency or flavor of tiaramisu. It's an instant pudding mix that doesn't get the flavor right. It tastes almost just vanilla or something else- but NOT the classic flavor of tiaramisu

Sure, it's pricey. But that's just how imports are. It's definitely not the worst price you encounter on Amazon. I quite like it. It's been a long time since I was able to have this and it is nice and fragrant. It doesn't quite have the flavor I expected, but that's not a bad thing. The powder dissolves well, which is a huge plus. It's nice and thick, but not too thick to drink. It works well in both hot drink and pudding form. I definitely recommend adding cinnamon. It enhances the experience in my opinion.

Not bad, not great, a tad too sweet, over all alright. This box makes about 4 small cups so a bit pricey for rice powder
