I purchased this filter on Jan 2017. This a 30,000 mile review 11-18-2017
I needed a filter that would handle 30,000 mile rated oil. I'm happy to say that the filter did it's job very well! When I removed the filter during an oil change today, there where no leaks at all and I notice how much heavier it was after I drained it, which tells me that it captured a lot of particles. I use Cerma synthetic oil 5-30 and the oil was smooth when i rubbed it on my fingers not rough at all. I'm really pleased with this product and will purchase again.

Excellent filter. Used oil analysis results are great
Note: I order these through my wife's account has her account has Prime.Using this on my Nissan Frontier. Went to the BobistheOilGuy forums and found several used oil analysis results from different users. Compared to many other filters, these came back every time with the best results. One person pushed his synthetic oil to 20,000 miles and still had very good results (with that many miles it wasn't going to equal the best results). The test results showed at 10,000 miles these filters routinely outperformed others that were changed out at only 6,000 miles, including the high end K&N, NAPA, and Royal Purple filters. I believe these results as they aren't done by any manufacturer, or Bob, but by end users sending their oil off to a qualified lab. (Usually blackstone-lab dot com)Knowing those results, I went ahead and bought the filter. I use Shell's synthetic Platinum Euro oil (Used to be Platinum plus). At 8,000 miles the oil is amazingly clean. Plan to keep on using these as I typically put over 200,000 miles on my work trucks.

LEAKS
This filter leaked within 2000 miles. In all my years of oil changing, including professionally I have never before had a filter leak. Post mortem reveals that the assembly of the gasket retainer to the tapping plate (by spot weld and adhesive) is suspect, that the design of the gasket retainer allows contact between the inner surface of the gasket retainer and filter sealing surface, does not hold the gasket consistently and creates uneven force on the gasket as installed.Internally there is a very wide gap in the primary media pleating, similar wide gaps have resulted in media tears in another brand, so this is concerning. The product graphics show green media, and indeed older virgin samples cut open do have green media, but inspection of new filters show new media is not green (it can be seen through the louvres in the center tube)On the plus side it does have a nice Parker ADBV, a heavy can and well formed louvres. This manufacturer does not publish efficiency numbers to ISO 4548-12.

After 3k miles oil looks more dirty than with normal filter
After 3k miles oil looks more dirty than with normal filter. Do standard 7.5k changes. As the oil looks now, plan to change early this time. Would not buy again.

Dual stage engine oil filter
A little pricey for an oil filter, but their research demonstrates it to be highly effective for those who want to extend their oil changes with extended oil exchanges. I use it with the intent of providing maximum protection for a Subaru turbo.

not so sure.
Seems to do what it says although the oil is looking pretty dirty after 5k on the second filter. Its got a high upfront cost, but in the long run it saves you money. Im just not 100% convinced about its claims and will go ahead and change the oil before the claimed 30k .

Very good build quality.
Very good build quality. The extra filtration channel is visible inside the filter next to bypass valve. Basically, it recycles a little bit of oil constantly, so over time it makes an effect on oil condition. Apparently, this feature only works in screw type filters. Will cut it open next oil change to inspect internals. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with OEM 15400-PLM-A01 filter either.

Great buy for your cars.
I gave it five stars because I've been using this brand of oil filter in my 1999 Cougar for a few years and it's kept my oil noticeably cleaner longer based on my last oil change.I bought this specific party for our 2013 Pathfinder. This is slightly longer than the oem part, but still fits just fine behind the fender splash guard. I would recommend this for all cars, especially paired with Amsoil Signature Series motoroil.
