Temporary Fix while waiting for duct cleaning
Temporary fix while waiting for dryer duct to be cleaned. I purchased a new dryer and need the long duct that runs from laundry through walls out through roof to be cleaned. Do not want to chance a house fire! Anyway, I bought this little plastic box for 20 bucks so I could start the mountains of laundry stacking up. I used my own dryer tubing and metal ring. Pros- cheep and comes with everything you need to hook up to your dryer. It would definitely warm up a small area of your home in the winter! Effectively allowing you to save on your heating costs. Would allow homes without ductwork to use a dryer. Easy to assemble. Con’s- heats up the house, a lot! Issue when doing back to back loads. Must be refilled with water and cleaned out. Something that is sticking out in the room. I do recommend. I saw another video where lint was blowing out of plastic box , I did not find that to be the case. In fact if you look closely at my video you can little lint blobs floating around in the water. This is what is supposed to happen. This video was taken after two complete loads of towels. The water traps the lint and keeps it from flying around the room.

Make sure lid fits good or you'll be cleaning up a mess
It sits anywhere a lot better than the round one I'd bought from another seller. Easier to velcro to top of dryer. Only thing is plastic curvers inward an lid won't fit right so have to tape it on. Other than that it works.

Quick and easy solution to no vent
This is great if you don't have a vent hole and don't or can't cut one. My daughter is in an apartment her dryer doesn't fit where it should and this was an easy solution. Just have to be sure to empty it.

Not worth $20.
As others have said, the plastic and the foil are both very cheap and flimsy, my box came crushed up too, like many others. To save others some money, you can make your own with a cheap plastic food dispos storage container, cut some slits or holes in it, add water, and attached the hose that came with dryer however you can attach to the lid. Duct tape would work. Add water. Do that and you would have a higher quality vent than this thing. There's no filter. It just blows the lint from the tube into the water. My walls are sweating, but I plan on moving this to the bathroom where it can handle the humidity.

Nice set up
Easy to install, small easily sits behind dryer. Easy to check/add water. Great alternative to no outdoor venting. Comes with hose.

SKIP THIS !!!
I had one of these water filled indoor lint catching vents before and it worked great. I don't remember the brand of that one, but it worked great. Unfortunately, that is not the case with this one. It is very misshapen, so even getting the vented lid to fit correctly on the water filled part was almost impossible. I don't know how long ago it was made, or how it was stored, but the cheap plastic is so brittle that while trying to clamp the top on, the part the top snap thing goes around snapped off the base, and being so mishapen, the top will not even sit flat on the base. I had to duct tape the top on, which is difficult since the top is where the vents are, and the base is filled with water. This is a real hassle, considering that to attach it I had to move my washer so I could squeeze behind the dryer to install it. Making matters worse, the cheap, thin mylar duct hose it comes with only extends about 3 feet from where it attaches to the dryer vent outlet, meaning it has to be on the floor. But wait, it gets worse ! The Description says it comes with a "metallic transition duct and two clamps". Well I'm petty sure that mylar is not metallic other than a thin reflective coating. And, in my opinion, way too short, brittle, plastic zip ties that do not even stay "zipped" do not qualify as "clamps". I had to use more duct tape to secure the hose end to the dryer. In order that I may be able to put this thing in a more accessible spot that will avoid damaging my laundry room wall, avoid having to move my washer every time I do a load, and avoid having to be a contortionist to empty, clean, and refill the damn thing, I have ordered a longer, stronger duct hose, and two of the actual metal hose clamps that have been used successfully for decades to connect and secure dryer duct hoses all over the world. It's that, or else deal with wall damage and a rusty dryer. I will still have to deal with removing and reapplying duct tape every time I empty the lint water and put fresh water in, cuz funky water can grow nasty stuff I really don't want blowing around my house. SKIP THIS !!!

Loved the product. The water bin is flimsy but does the job. Why vent the heat outside from the dryer when you could recycle it. When this lint trap vent is being used, it humidifies the dry air inside the house. Great for winter use- would not recommend that you use it in the summer as your A/C unit will have to work harder to get rid of the extra moisture in the air.

I purchased this item rather than try to run 12 feet of new dryer duct under the floor to the outdoor vent. It works great, adds a little extra humidity to my home -- and -- allowed me to close off one more way heat escapes my home in winter . Great device at a great price.
