Would not recommend
I had such high hopes for this cookbook as I’m new to keto and love my instant pot, but I am very disappointed. The recipes are not consistently“Keto” and must’ve required more editing and review. Some of the recipes can only work if you really know how to use your instant pot because important instructions are missing. I stopped using this cookbook after attempting many of the recipes and finding omissions in the amounts of ingredients needed as well as cooking instructions. Would definitely not recommend this publication of the cookbook. Hope the author will review and edit for a completed edition.

The REAL way to do Keto!
I started what I thought was the right way to do Keto about 10 weeks ago.I am a 63 year old woman. 11 years ago I weighed in at 242 pounds and I started WW. I lost about 90 pounds and then life happened.I am up about 30 pounds from my lowest weight and now it is much harder to lose.Started “Keto” but the weight lose has stalled. Now I have found Tasha! Podcasts are amazing! The book is something I cannot wait to dive into!She finally made the whole thing make sense!!Tasha, you said you read all reviews. If you see this one, I would so love to be able to ask you some questions. Thank you for Ketogasm!!!

Perfect and easy way to start keto journey
I love it... so easy to understand... easy and yummy recipes... I started following the podcast Ketogasm on Spotify and I was surprised how she talks and how she explained the process of this life style... I just love it.. thank you Tasha you are wonderful and I’m really proud of you and your journey.. thanks again....

Full Guided Tour of KETO for Women
I am in the middle of reading this book, and am in it for the long haul. Very concise, detailed description of everything from start to finish. Many things only a woman will go through and the challenges we face. Thank you, Tasha! I am enjoying this immensely, and it will be great reference material after the first read.

Just what I needed
The information about the biology of metabolism and hormones gives me the understanding/buy in I need to succeed. I appreciate the variety of recipes, and that they are not difficult for those of us with too little time/expertise for cooking. I especially like the coconut recipes. Can't wait for another book of recipes from this author.

Everything a woman needs to know for KETO
So let me tell you about this book. I’ve just started the keto process. And what I love about this book is I am a woman in my 40s I feel like this book was written for me. It takes you through each part of the keto diet. It explains it start to finish in a way that anyone can understand. I’ve read so much on keto and I still am so confused by how it works. This book takes you through so that you understand how do use it and how to get the best fat loss and long-term success. And that is so important to me. If you take the time and use it as book and actually read all the chapters you will find a huge success in your long-term diet. Keto is a lifestyle change. Know what I should also point out is this is specifically for women. It goes through everything from how do use it during the menstrual cycle how menopause can affect it in different ways a woman can utilize this book. Of course in the end of this book is an actual cookbook. Very easy to follow recipes that give you the time as far as prepping cooking any actual time that you were done. You get a yield in other words how many servings can you get the actual serving size how many cups it is. Very easy to follow directions and of course there is notes on different substitutions you can use and if you need dairy or not dairy. The recipe that I tried right off the bat is the roasted red cabbage and pork chops and it was amazing very easy to follow ingredients for everything from avocado oil, apple cider vinegar, red cabbage, prosciutto, pork chops, garlic salt, black pepper, arugula, salt to taste. No I’m not gonna do the whole recipe for you you need to buy the book for that. But I will tell you it was amazing. It took a whole five minutes of prep time 15 minutes to cook it in about 25 minutes total time I was eating a full dinner that was healthy and straight to my keto diet. Absolutely love this book I gave you for five stars and be honest if I could star it higher I would!

TLDR: If you are a woman on a weight loss journey, or if you are just trying to learn more about how your food choices impact your life and body, you should definitely read this book.However, if you are looking for a “normal” keto cookbook, then this is may not the book for you. Most keto / paleo / low carb cookbooks will have a short expository section at the beginning explaining what the diet is all about, why you should care, how to stock your pantry, etc, - say roughly 10% exposition, 90% recipes. This book is the opposite. You’re looking at 75% exposition, 25% recipes. But don’t let that deter you!At my house we loved reading this book and learned a great deal from Metcalf’s writing. We've read dozens and dozens of books, papers, and articles about keto-like eating styles and how they impact the body — and still came away from this book with new knowledge and understanding about how the female body works. Metcalf’s in-depth focus on the unique workings of women’s bodies and our hormones, and her sciencey-but-not-too-sciencey explanations about what happens to our bodies when we eat (or don’t eat) certain things were a revelation.5 stars out of 5. Highly recommended.
