Big glaring issue... When in the open/locked position, they are NOT at 90 degrees. There is far too much slop in the hinge and the locks. With the brackets mounted to an accurate 90 degree vertical surface, then opened, the horizontal portion, once locked in the open position "sags" about 10-20 degrees, meaning that if you mount a shelf or table top either the front will have to be shimmed, or you can struggle and try to shim the bottom portion that mounts to a horizontal surface in order for the shelf/table surface to be level. Either is royal pain, and is caused by sloppy manufacturing tolerances. In my case, I had to shim BOTH the lower end of the bracket that mounts to a vertical surface, AND I also had to shim under the front of the piece of 3/4" plywood that I mount for a table top, in order for the table top to be level. This was my first venture into folding shelf/table brackets, and if they are all like these.....it's a waste of time and money. Frankly, the included hardware is probably worth more then the brackets.

As you can see in the not so great picture these things are awesome and look pretty good while holding up a nice table. They're easy to install and don't get in the way when using the table I made. The only issue I had is there's some play in the hinges so it's rather easy to install them to where they bind up when closed, making them not able to fully close. The table top has to be installed with them open, to be able to screw into said top, and if they're slightly off they will bind. Other than that these things are beauties and do a great job holding up my murphy table.

My husband was designing a work shelf for our laundry room that would fold down and out of the way when not in use. These brackets are the winner! Easy to install, even easier to use, as I have not pinched my fingers even once. The brackets support the shelf and hold at least two baskets of laundry, making my folding work so much easier! I am using these brackets to install a shelf in the kitchen to hold a microwave. These are a high quality bracket that lock into place when opened and have a release button to collapse them if you want to use them for say a wall table that is not open all the time. Very pleases with the quality and strength of the steel.

The brackets seem well built and sturdy. It was fairly easy to install them on a work table to give a larger work space when needed. Overall very satisfied with the brackets.

These are perfect for the project I had You can wobble it slightly up to 1/4 inch or so back and forth but feels sturdy. they are great! (see pics)

I bought these brackets for a collapsible shelf in my travel trailer. Once I found the studs it was fairly easy to mount and then just make sure they are vertical. I also ordered a shelf board to mount to the brackets. The fit is very tight and they don't seem to rattle or move. I'm using this as a side shelf next to the bed for my laptop and other work. I think the 16 inch brackets were just right

Bought 2 sets of these brackets to make a folding side and rear 24 inch extension for my portable table saw. Just used a few washers as shims to get the side extension perfectly parallel to the table top. They are very sturdy and work perfectly if you align them using the procedure below.How to Install:When mounting, attach the vertical sides of the brackets first, making sure they are level and parallel. When attaching the top, install the screw closest to the hinge in each bracket, then collapse the brackets and mark the location of the holes farthest from the hinge with a pencil, making sure that the brackets do not rub. Extend the brackets, install the screws in the marked holes and finish off with the middle screws.

I used these brackets to build a 36x20" folding table in my garage with 1/2" plywood. With the brackets 8" in from each side the table is sturdy enough for my wife (120lbs) to stand on and there is no sign of stress or flex. The latch mechanisms are simple, easy to work and strong.If you are going to install these in a similar application I recommend using wood bolts to anchor the bracket to wall studs instead of the included anchors. The small screws for the table surface are fine.

Used it to mount small glass tabletop to drywall. The included hardware for drywall is weak but I did not have any better ones on hand so I used some long deck screws and anchored right into 2 studs. The top hole to mount to wall is very difficult to get to, I needed to extend my drill bit twice and even then it was going in at a very awkward angle. Ended up switching to using a racket set to tighten all the way. I guess I could have used the two bottom holes only, but if it was anything heavier, I would not risk it. Make sure you have the right tools for the job and this is a solid product.

Very sturdy, holds my 170lbs with ease. Feel safe that the kids can climb and it will easily hold their weight. Will be using in further projects
