I just ordered this item. Why will it take an entire month to get it?

does this product have colostrum?

No. This product is a substitute for mares milk, not the colostrum which can only be frozen from actual mare donors. This is meant to be used for long term for foals who have either been orphaned or are nursing a mare that is not producing any or enough milk. Colostrum is the antibody-rich first milk produced by mares to protect foals with passive transfer of immunities. It is necessary for foal immune system but is only produced by mare for first possibly 6-12hours after birth. It is often frozen in 8-16 oz quantities per mare to keep in a “bank” for future foalings.

Vet-approved, works great!

This is THE mare's milk replacement if you need a product like this. We have a mini-horse foal who became ill with pneumonia and hospitalized very shortly after birth. Additionally, her mom was unable to nurse her due to a teat problem. They put her on this and actually taught her to drink from a bowl. She has thrived ever since, 3 months and counting. We also adopted an orphan newborn from a horse kill pen... same thing, taught her to drink from a bowl, and she's doing great at around 2 1/2 months. They have no digestion issues and they are happy and energetic. Can't say enough good about Foal-Lac. Stick with this instead of the others. You won't regret it.
