Vegetarian, sets liquids
I wanted to make vegetarian jelly for a dinner party so I tried this. I checked online that for 1 litre of acid liquid I needed 13g agar agar. I added it to the cold fruit juice and brought it to the boil whisking all the time. Then I poured it into the bowls. I spilled a little and was surprised at how quickly it set. The jelly in the bowls was set in an hour at room temperature. The texture was very firm, not at all wobbly, so perhaps I needed a bit less agar agar. If I were making jelly sweets this would have been the perfect firmness. I think it will need a bit of trial and error to get absolutely right. However, my vegetarian guest was thrilled to be able to eat the jelly and everyone else enjoyed it too, so five stars to this product.

Fab product. Sets really quickly.
Easy to use, but struggling with a consistency that I like. Used it for the first time, and it set pretty solid. I used it a 2nd time, adding less to some diluted elderflower cordial and the consistency was more jelly like. I’m a vegetarian, so finding a product I can use is amazing.

Good product
Used this as an alternative to geletine for my Panna cottas. I was so surprised at the gelling action. It dissolved with no problems (you have to boil the liquid) and it gelled brilliantly. Admittedly I used too much, but that was my error. It would be useful if the product came with usage instructions on how much to use for how much liquid. But as a product it did its job. No taste, no lumps and was delivered promptly well packaged.

I prefer this over normal gelatin.
This product is misunderstood, because nobody knows how to use it. so let me explain. 1 teaspoon of agar agar powder equals the same as 6 gelatin leafs, or 2 teaspoons of gelatinpowder. So if you use it correctly, its a very good product. you can't use it the same way as gelatin because with this product a little goes a long way. if you follow the instructions I have written, you can't go wrong.

perfect for setting my cheese
love this, I used it to made vegan hart shape cheese bites for my daughters lunches worked perfectly. Also happy that it can all be recycled as trying very hard to reduce waste, but its not always easy when ordering ingredients you cant locally source.( the pouch it came it is very good so will be keeping it when its empty for refilling)

Worth Trying Out
I'm undecided about any health benefit. Unpleasant to drink.My stools did became firmer. Worth trying.

Cet Agar Agar est très bien. J épaissis mes yaourts et je dois en mettre moins que mon précédent. Ne laisse pas de goût, d odeur ou quoique soit. Très bon produit

il prodotto si presenta bene e in questa confezione risulta abbastanza conveniente. Lo uso in rapporto variabile dall'1% al 2% ma non ho ancora imparato a dosarlo correttamente per ottenere la solidificazione ideale non gommosa. Il prodotto, come corretto che sia, è completamente insapore.
