Bought for MacBook Pro A1708
Bought to replace the 256GB drive, bought in conjunction with a Sintech M.2 NVMe 2230/2242 SSD Upgrade Card for MacBook PRO A1708. Easy to install both after watching YouTube tutorials, no problems so far and nearly 4 times the storage, nice and speedy too.

works
it's hard to find this length of nvme ssd, this model works fine in the various laptops i've upgraded.

Easy and simple
Easy setup just what I needed, other brands of the same form factor were disappointing. This plugged in and was easy to setup, came with a discount for some cloning software which was very helpful as well.

MacBook Pro A1708 Upgrade
Excellent storage option for upgrading your MacBook Pro 2017. Seems to run faster than the OEM 256 GB drive I swapped it for.You need an adapter, I also bought that from Amazon Prime. "M2 NVMe Adapter (M.2 NGFF) Compatible with SSD MacBook Pro A1708 (Years 2016 and 2017) – Connector 22 + 34 Points".After that, make an external boot disk with Catalina install. Backup your laptop with Time Machine, and you're away. Swap the disk, boot+R, Change the drive to GUID in Disk Utility and install. Now rocking 2TB! Happy Days.Lots of "how to" videos on YouTube, but unlike those, this drive is the right size and does not stretch / bend the case, or overlap the heatsink. So for me, it is the manufaturer to choose.

NOT compatible with Steam Deck
Please do not make the same mistake as me and believe other reviews that this card firs in a steam deck - it does not! The dimensions make it too long.1. The SSD will not lie flat as it is too big2. You cannot screw it in place as required3. It foil sleeve does not fit4. The large heatshield will not lie flat, you cannot get the last screw in5. Thermal pads on the heatshield are rendered ineffective6. The deck case will not close perfectly, there will be some movement. Can't stress this enough - good SSD, good price, BUT NOT FOR STEAM DECK!

Excellent. Good Speeds
Used to replace a faulty NVME. Good speeds. Still working fine after three years. Good value.

If you're looking for good customer service, look elsewhere
I certainly won't be buying from this seller again. A combination of bad service from them and bad service from Amazon. When I encountered an issue with this item (which I managed to eventually resolve without the assistance of either of them) they each passed the buck to the other. The seller said Amazon had to resolve this, Amazon said it was down to the seller. Back and forth, back and forth I went. Utter waste of my time. By all means, take a chance, if your item is fine, you'll likely not have a problem. But if you do, and you need their assistance, good luck to you. Be prepared to be messed around.

Case buldge on 2016 / 2017 MacBook Pro A1708
The 128GB SSD in my 2017 MacBook Pro died so I needed a solution. From reviews and YouTube videos it appears that others have been able to install this SSD via an adapter into their 2016 / 2017 A1708 MacBook Pro. I therefore ordered the 1TB version along with the "M.2 NVME SSD Convert Adapter for SSD MacBook Pro 2016-2017 A1708 Connector 22 + 34 Points" adapter. The problem I had was the adapter is designed to work with single-sided SSDs and the Sabrent is double-sided meaning I couldn't screw it down.I then ordered the "Sintech M.2 NVMe 2230/2242 SSD Card Upgrade Kits with Torx T5 /P5 1.2mm Pentalobe Screwdriver,Compatible for MacBook PRO A1708 Non-Touch Bar Models(Late 2016-Mid 2017 Year)" adapter as this supports double-sided SSDs like the Sabrent. With the Sabrent SSD installed in the Sintech adapter and the adapter installed in the MacBook, although you are able to close and screw down the bottom cover, you will see a small bulge in the cover in the area where the SSD sits. It is not easy to see but if you use a straight edge like a steel ruler and hold it along the bottom you will see it does not sit flush all the way along.Along with the SSD being DOA I wasn't comfortable with this so I returned it for a refund. My final solution has been to use the original single sided adapter in conjunction with a "Hynix 256GB Ssd BC511 NVMe".Hope this helps someone!
