Will probably only need to use this once, but it was ideal: worked perfectly and a good price. Worth noting that I already had a long torx set - you need one of those as well as this tool to change the pulley.

I was sceptical, especially as I am a mechanic myself and hate tools that fail to live up to expectations. . I needed it to do my own 10 year Mercedes Sprinter so didn't want to go mad as it will stay at home in my garage.The pulley was solid and at one point thought it had failed but it was simply the pulley falling apart. For £7.50, it was a bargain. I have plenty of spline bits for the centre shaft so didn't need a full kit.I would definitely recommend

An occasional use item for the annoying VAG securing method for alternator pulleys. Used a few times in anger, fits snugly, and is not worn. Has survived a gentle parping from a medium duty electric wrench.MUCH better value than the other 'official' tools for this job.

It's alright for the price, would want something better quality, but for the money it is good value and does the job.

This removal tool was fine for the job of removing the alternator clutch pully on my VW.
