I like it.
Love it. Simple home defense weapon. I have other means to defend myself, but this is a just in case thing. Some people finding the metal threaded rod is too thin to fit the spear. One little trick I did was use duct tape. Wrap the screw threaded part with some duct tape. make sure you wrap it the correct way so that the spear can screw in correctly. Don't use too much tape, cut it to size. I used gorilla black duct tape.

STRONG AND RAZOR SHARP
This little sucker holds an impressive edge after multiple uses. Light weight so fixing to a stick allows it to be balanced for further and accurate throwing. I love mine.

Solid, well made spearhead.
This knife with a detachable handle can become a spearhead. It fit perfectly on a threaded broom stick to make a good spear. I gave it only 4 stars, because one side of the blade does not have an edge to it. It is blunt. The "sharp" edge didn't feel particularly sharp to me, compared to other spearheads I have encountered. But it has a sharp point and I believe it will puncture most things it is thrust at, just fine. I am just a little disappointed that it only has one, somewhat sharp, edge.

Great product!!
I bought two of these, one for myself and one for myself. We love them, and highly recommend the. They make great knives with the sheath they come with, or great spears. I highly recommend this product!

Good materials, design and workmanship.
Like most kids 67 years old, like to take things apart to see how they are made. I was pleased to see that the handle turned into the metal head threads and the lanyard hole is large enough to accommodate a biner clip and is very strong. The sheath appears very good as well. The stitches are good and the rivets are well finished. The head slips into a plastic liner and won't damage the sheath. The strap is beefy and secures fine. The tip is very sharp but the edges required a little attention. They take a good edge easily. The steel is thick and I believe it will stand up to throwing quite easily even with a poll pushing it. Most belts will slide thru and is tight enough to hold things without slipping. There are no rattling noises whatever. I have a M 48 ordered, however if I had any Idea that this was as nice as it is I think I would pass. I am not an expert but I can't see how anyone wouldn't be pleased with purchasing this item.

Subpar.
The sheath is only usable for keeping the blade from cutting other things in your pack or drawer or wherever you store it.Speaking of which, only one side is sharpened even though it is very clear due to the convex geometry, the other side could very easily be sharpened. The blade feels light and I don't feel confident using this product on tougher targets and I don't think it is dependable.I reviewed the cold steel version of this implement as well and while I did get it to fit on one of the poles that I bought, a extendable painters Pole, it didn't feel like it would do a good job.

Decent Kit at a Better Than Decent Price
This is a versatile blade. It is a touch heavy in the hand, but it is very comfortable to actually use a knife. And, when you feel like it, you can unscrew the handle and thread a broomstick into the base of the blade to make a spear. This thing is very nifty.I bought a threaded broom handle from Tractor Supply made of some mystery hardwood but with a good, tight grain running correctly down the handle. I believe it was five bucks. And the head I paid about twenty for. So, for $25 you get a pretty cool little spear. It even throws decently. The steel is tough enough to not ding or bend when thrown into a tree and this thing makes an excellent 'extra-long-machete' in the woods for clearing slightly overgrown trails or trimming very small branches. So, it's fun and practical.Even if you just set a hay bale up in your backyard and have fun hucking this thing into it, the spear is well worth the money.

Awesome design and added security
I bought this after breaking down on a desolate road where phone signal was non-existent. Usually I have a gun on me but didn't that day. As I sat in my vehicle trying to figure out what to do, I could see a pack of wild dogs in the woods and realized I had to stay in my car and wait for someone to stop and help, not an ideal situation, especially because I had seen a gas station only a couple miles back. After this experience, I decided to buy this knife to keep in my car and bought a painters pole so I had an extendable option for this spear. I also added a cane tip to the pole so I could use it as a walking stick. The spear itself is sharp and of good quality. I now feel a lot better, knowing that I have a way to defend myself in a similar situation should one ever arise.
