Great fit, even works with the nav system*
I purchased this to fix the factory ac/radio circuit board issue, and it works perfectly! I have a 2003.5 g35 with the factory nav and Bose sound system, I had no major issues with the install. The materials are decent quality, the climate controls work as intended, the color matches perfectly, and the whole housing fits in very well. For anyone looking to use this with the factory nav system, fair warning. The nav will fit, but only after you trim out the opening at the top a few mm and there is very little room between the ac control board and the nav housing for the cabling. It's a tight fit, but after tweaking it a few times it works like a charm. Overall, great value for the money, you won't be disappointed.

Great replacement for my son's 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe
Allowed us to install a modern double din size touch screen head unit in his older G35. Great fit, and everything plugged in perfectly to all factory connectors. The new climate control buttons feel and function like factory. The color was not a direct match, but didn't bother my son.Not a project for the faint of heart. :-) There are quite a bit of interior components to remove but between the manual and YouTube videos, it was manageable.

great and looks just fine
After reading all the reviews about how the color doesnt match the OEM and the buttons are not nice ect..I had my doubts when i ordered this kit. (I was not going to spend 350 for a JDM!!!) Anyway im pleasantly surprise on how nice it looks... spend a few hours installing the whole thing but the end results is perfect... you do have to take your time nissan didnt make it easy to remove that radio!!!!! anyway very happy with the metra...AND the buttons actually feels better then the oem the color matched perfectly in my case...

A Decent Replacement
Recently installed this in my G35 Coupe and was pleasantly suprised with the outcome. The kits finish is a very good match to the OEM trim. There are a few spots that don't fit perfectly, but to the average eye it looks perfect. The kit is quite expensive but I'm very thankful that Metra produces these as it'd be much more expensive to have something completely custom done or have a Japanese Double DIN kit imported from Japan ($350). So overall I am quite pleased. Some additional comments on the buttons on the kit. They match the interior fine and are not quite OEM quality, but they push very easily and are soft to the touch. I think they are very well done compared to another Metra kit I had in a different car.Overall, this kit is a total buy if you want to add something aftermarket to your G35 to replace the terrible OEM stereo.

Fits 2004 G35 Couple perfectly. Must buy for DIN installation!
I wanted to install Kenwood 6.8" DIN in my 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe since the stock stereo kept turning off and on by itself. I bought the Metra 99-7604 Single/Double DIN Installation Kit for 2003-2004 Infiniti G35 on Amazon after visiting my local car audio shop and getting quoted $200+ for this. I was a little skeptical on how it would change the look of the dash but I am pretty satisfied with the appearance. The silver color is slightly different from the original but nothing major, at least for me. Buttons are some type of rubber, not plastic. Pretty satisfied with my purchase overall and would recommend.

Perfect fit for 2003 G35 sedan
Looks nice & is easy to install with a little patience & preparation. I googled how to remove the factory radio, printed out the step by step instructions & replaced the dead factory unit with an aftermarket Pioneer. It took me several hours but I welcomed the challenge AND the money I saved from not having to pay someone else to do it. Even though it's not a $300 factory bezel it looks good enough for me & to the average eye it's not noticeable. I'm happy with it, it works for me.

The cheap suit of radio installation kits
Let me preface this by saying that I notice every visual detail of of a thing, especially color, sheen, and fit. I definitely have a few issues with this Metra kit. That being said I would still recommend it due to price (~170) since the JDM alternative is double the time and money. The Metra (for my 04 G35 sedan manual) is a noticeably different sheen than the factory silver plastic. The color is very close but the metra is more sparkly paint, less smooth matte metal look. It's definitely not a factory match but it's not horrible and for most people you'd have to point it out to them for them to notice. I like the metra buttons better than the factory hard plastic... while they look slightly lower rent they don't creak and make noise like the factory buttons and so I call this an upgrade. These are the forgivable flaws. The wings (where the center vents go) of the replacement unit are painted silver where the factory unit keeps them black effectively extending the cheesiness across the dash instead of confining it to the center. The edges of the wings have little plastic nubs from the injection molding process that you can see when the unit is fully installed - again, nobody notices generally but they're there. The vents don't quite fit perfectly like with the factory unit so the nubs are visible. The worst flaw is along the top edge of the whole thing, they really phoned it in there. It's an irregular depth and the factory trim piece doesn't snap in quite right (a little loose) and won't match the adjoining trim strip on the passenger side. OK for the interior on a ford or a chevy, not so passable on an infiniti.Due to my own idiocy I had to uninstall and re-install the unit a few times and I was pretty sure it was about to break. It held together and there were no actual problems but it felt like it was going to snap/shatter at various points which was not confidence inspiring. Do it wrong and you might create a problem. For $170 you can get a cheap suit that looks amazing at a glance but fails on the finer details. Let's call this the cheap suit of radio installation kits.

For 2004 infiniti g35 coupe
Fit my 2004 g35 perfectly. The colour appears to be a little off and the vent surrounding should be black. But once installed it looks great and gets the job done.

Ayyy that’s pretty good
Fits perfect In my g35 only issue is I have the navigation system but I just sanded down the control corners and drilled a hole in the top to make it fix and it’s perfect! Gets stuck and won’t come up sometimes but that’s all good

Complete kit as advertised.
Colour was a little different than my dash, but maybe that’s the car I was putting it in? I don’t know how they dye the plastics at the Nissan factory, but maybe one dash isn’t exactly the same as the next, especially when comparing cars from the beginning of a production run to the end.In any case, this kit worked as advertised. Fit was decent.

Four Stars
Fit and finish were very good, for such a complicated little part. At last I have a stereo again!
