Perfect for Ham Radio Open-Wire Feed Line Switching
OK: Non-standard application, no question. But, in "old-school HF ham radio" one way to get more energy to an antenna (with high SWR) is to use open-wire or "ladder line" also called "Window Line." Since I run 1 KW+ power levels, I use #14 window line. With multiple wire antennas, switching "window line" can only be properly done with the right-size dual pole, dual throw (with center off) switch. This really fills the bill. Not weatherproof, but some resistance to that from the cover. This is really good (also) for directional switching on Beverage type antennas, as well, so yeah - there will be more of these headed for this QTH shortly. Great product - and at a great price.Newbie note: Use of ladder or window line will normally require an antenna tuner with a balanced line output. Lower power level units are common (MFJ and others make them). But some of the BIG herking old-school antenna tuners, like the Johnson Kilowatt "Matchbox" antenna tuners come up on eBay from time-to-time. Ladder line likes gentle bends and being kept a foot (preferably more) away from metal objects. (Always a catch on this HF antenna stuff, right?). If you're wondering: An antenna "coupler" is what lives at the antenna feed point. An antenna "tuner" lives at the radio end. Just in case no one has schooled you on that, either.

Used for open wire line for radio, built well, but has a light bulb in the lever
I didn't notice the light bulb in the lever arm. Handy if you use this for what it is meant to be used for, but with RF you'll actually want to remove the bulbs so they don't interfere with tuning. (the will blow up and smoke with QRO power). I actually set my switch on fire when I put a few hundred watts through it.If you see the rectangular opening in my photo it shows the charred hollow section where the indicator light was in the handle. It's very simple to avoid this, simply remove the two rubber plugs on the top of the handle, it lifts off, then use a small bladed screwdriver and remove the underside black hatch and remove the circuit board with the light and the two small springs. It will just lift out and you'll be all set. I bought two luckily, this one is so charred the carbon deposits still short out the voltages but the spare, with the light removed worked fine. These are well constructed switches otherwise at a very fair price.

Works great for a 2 amplifier-1 set of speakers splitter.
I wanted to hook up my home theater amp and my stereo amp to 1 set of speakers. You cannot have the 2 amps tied together ever! There are some more expensive splitters available, but being an electrician, I knew there had to be what I needed out there. So, actually, all you need is this Tatoko 2 pole, double throw, knife blade disconnect switch like the Tatoko. There are similiar ones out there, but the plastic on the Tatoko is see thru which is a plus. It may not look like stereo equipment, but will more than adequately do the job and absolutely no way you could connect the 2 amplifiers at the same time. I got one and works great. The wire terminals have no problem tightly securing the speaker wire. Check it out and save a few $$.

Essential for 450 Ohm Ladder Line RF Switching
Basis for 5 Stars - Manufacturer's specifications are as stated. Although not stated by the OEM, this switch is excellent for Radio Frequency (RF) ladder line switching.I took Kingsqueak's advice and removed the circuit board from the handle, as I present up to 500 RF watts through, it to 450 ohm ladder line to random length dipole.I've installed 2 of these outdoors. The first one switches the output of a Barrett 911 Autotuner and a MFJ998R autotuner. Ladder line center (handle) feeds common to another DPDT Knife Switch, to switch antenna out of circuit and to ground during storms (even though I do use spark plug lightning arresters coming off the antenna). The circuit board can be re-purposed as an indicator lamp for something else, 12VDC, will turn on the 2 LEDsRecommendation to OEM: Warn users to remove the handle circuit board if the intended purpose is for RF output.

Very Satisfied
I bought this mainly because it looked pretty cool, but it worked well. I had two machines that I was running with one power supply. Be careful when you are screwing the switch down onto a board. I had a screw go crooked and it got stuck in there and it was a pain to remove and put in correctly, but I would file that under user-error. Great switch. I retired one of the machines I was using it with. I should find another thing to connect to it.

Good quality
Good quality switch. I used mine to have a means to disconnect my solar relay coil if I had to do maintenance on it vs going into the automatic transfer switch

Great Value for the Price
We used these for a display at work. Worked very well and duff exactly what we needed it to do.
